1.      Maria ZUBER was born about 1847 in Germany. No further information is currently known on her except that she appeared on the 1860 census in Bartholomew's family. (However, since his second family also named a daughter Mary, speculation would be that she died young.)

3.      Harmon ZUBER was born in 1855 in Ohio, USA.  He was married to Louisa MANHARDT. Louisa MANHARDT was born in 1859.  She died on December 16, 1916 in Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Harmon died in 1944. Both were buried in Shawnee Cemetery, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Harmon and Louisa had the following children:  Frederick V ZUBER, August H (Gusta) ZUBER, and Laura ZUBER.

Bartholomew was married to Mary "Magdalene" BISHOP on April 8, 1862 in Marion County, Ohio, USA by Rev. E. Kornbaum. Mary "Magdalene" BISHOP was born on February 23, 1840. 

John "Bartholomew" ZUBER and Mary "Magdalene" BISHOP had the following children:

1.      Christine ZUBER was born in 1863. She was married to John W FOX (son of Frederick William and Mary C FOX) on February 14, 1885. John W FOX was born on October 20, 1856. Christine died on July 10, 1921 in Auglaize County, Ohio, USA.  John died on April 4, 1924 in Auglaize County, Ohio, USA.  Both were buried in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Christine ZUBER and John W FOX had the following children:  Tessie May FOX, Bertha Ola FOX, Frederick "William" FOX, Jacob S FOX, and Edith I FOX.

2.      Magdalena (Lena) ZUBER was born in 1868. She had one son, Robert Oliver Zuber, prior to marrying John Allen WOLFF after 1885. John Allen WOLFF was born in 1865. Lena died on June 13, 1934 in Perry Township, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  John died on October 13, 1937 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA. Both were buried in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  The had the following children:  John J WOLFF, Edna A WOLFF, Mary G WOLFF, Charles R WOLFF, Margaret S WOLFF, Laura E WOLFF, Leota "Kathryn" WOLFF, Bessie WOLFF, and Russell WOLFF.

3.      Louise ZUBER and was born about 1872.  She was married to John Wesley HODGE (son of Ransom Wilson HODGE and Sarah Ann NOLAND ) on April 29, 1896. John Wesley HODGE was born on October 6, 1860 in Maplewood, Shelby County, Ohio, USA. Louise died on December 15 1916 in Hamilton County, Ohio, USA. She was buried in Shawnee Cemetery, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  John died on December 20, 1917 in Fort Recovery, Mercer County, Ohio, USA.  Louise ZUBER and John Wesley HODGE had the following children:  Paul Z HODGE, Emerson G HODGE, Ralph R HODGE, and Frank Nolan HODGE.

4.      Jacob ZUBER was born in 1873.  He was married to Anna Viola MCCLURE. Anna Viola MCCLURE was born about 1876. Jacob worked at Lima Hamilton Corp.  He died on February 29, 1948 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Anna died on June 9, 1956 in Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Both were buried in Shawnee Cemetery, Allen County, Ohio, USA. Jacob ZUBER and Anna Viola MCCLURE had the following children:  Cleo O ZUBER, Gwendolyn P ZUBER, Rose Ella ZUBER, and a Son ZUBER.

5.      Mary S ZUBER was born in January 1866. She was married to Freeman BABER (son of Matthew Albert BABER and Mary Catherine BIRD ) on March 25, 1884 in Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Freeman BABER was born in January 1861 in Ohio, USA. Mary died in 1952 in Roann, Wabash County, Indiana, USA. She was buried in IOOF Cemetery.  Freeman died in Indiana. Mary S ZUBER and Freeman BABER had the following children:  Beatrice BABER, Matthew BABER, Tedford Earl BABER, Edith BABER, and Alma B BABER.

Bartholomew's family appeared on the census in 1860 in Logan Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, Household #507.  They evidently moved to Iowa for a few years and can be found in the 1870 Amana Township, Iowa County, Iowa, Household #80, Family #124.  They must have then come back to Ohio as they can be found in the 1880 Shawnee Township, Allen County, Ohio, Household #157.

Bartholomew died on January 29, 1895 in Shawnee Township, Allen County, Ohio. His will was dated September 21, 1894 and was probated February 16, 1895  in Allen County, Ohio.  Magdalene then appeared on the census in

·         1900 in 1900 Shawnee Township, Allen County, Ohio, Household #117

·         1910 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. ED #0045, Visit #0047 living with son John

·         1920 in Shawnee township, Allen County, Ohio, Household #218 living alone

Magdalena died on February 17, 1930.  Both Magdalena and Bartholomew were buried in German Zion Cemetery, Auglaize County, Ohio, USA.

1.      Mary Ellen ZUBER was born on 25 Apr 1875. She died on 18 Aug 1879 at the age of fourteen. She was buried in Mack Cemetery, Allen County, Ohio, USA. 

2.      Louise Elizabeth ZUBER was born on 25 Aug 1875 in Auglaize County, Ohio, USA. She was baptized on 9 Feb 1879. She was married to Clement "Marion" BOWERSOCK about 1893. Clement "Marion" BOWERSOCK was born in 1869.  She died on 23 Mar 1938 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. She was buried on 27 Mar 1938 in Christie Maple Wood Cemetery, Spencerville, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  He died on 21 Jan 1942 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was buried on 23 Jan 1942 in Maplewood Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA. Louise Elizabeth ZUBER and Clement "Marion" BOWERSOCK had the following children:  Lloyd BOWERSOCK, Beatrice Marie BOWERSOCK, Cloyd BOWERSOCK, Elizabeth BOWERSOCK, John C BOWERSOCK, and Roy BOWERSOCK.

4.      George William ZUBER was born on 15 Sep 1879 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was baptized on 1 Feb 1880. He was married first to Alma M KELLER on 28 Nov 1910. Alma M KELLER was born in 1885. She died on 24 Oct 1922 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. She was buried in Shawnee Cemetery, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  He was married second to Margaret ARONHOLT (daughter of John ARONHOLT and Alma HOOVER) on 11 Apr 1923. Margaret ARONHOLT was born on 26 Jul 1890 in Adams County, Indiana, USA. She died on 18 Jun 1973 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA. She was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  George died on 15 Aug 1959 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was buried in Shawnee Cemetery, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Margaret had a couple children from her first marriage.  George had no children from either marriage.

5.      Harman Bartholomew ZUBER was born on 26 Jan 1881 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. He died on 28 Feb 1906. He was buried in Fort Amanda Cemetery, Auglaize County, Ohio, USA. 

6.      Sarah Cristena ZUBER was born on 1 Dec 1882 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. She died on 19 Dec 1960 in Middletown, Butler County, Ohio, USA. She was married to J Elza SHAFFER between 1900 and 1905. J Elza SHAFFER was born about 1882 in Champaign County, Ohio, USA. He died on 30 Apr 1958 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was buried on 3 May 1958 in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA.She was buried on 22 Dec 1960 in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  They had one child, Norman E SHAFFER.

7.      Edward Homer ZUBER was born on 20 Dec 1884 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was married to Bertha Mae ROBERTS (daughter of Francis M ROBERTS and Emma ROUSH) on 23 Dec 1908. Bertha Mae ROBERTS was born on 21 Nov 1882. Edward died on 15 Sep 1965 in Fostoria, Hancock County, Ohio, USA. He was buried in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA. Bertha died on 10 May 1977 in Fostoria, Hancock County, Ohio, USA. She was buried in Hueston Cemetery, Forest, Hardin County, Ohio, USA. Edward and Bertha's children included Eugene Roberts ZUBER, Emma Ann ZUBER, and Donald Edward ZUBER.

8.      Quinn Earl ZUBER was born on 16 Oct 1886 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was married to Almira (Myra) Effa NEFF (daughter of John C NEFF and Abila ZERKEL) on 24 Sep 1911. Almira (Myra) Effa NEFF was born on 16 May 1889 in Auglaize County, Ohio, USA. Quinn died on 17 Aug 1962 in Wapakoneta, Auglaize County, Ohio, USA. He was buried on 20 Aug 1962 in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA. Myra died on 10 Mar 1977 in Auglaize County, Ohio, USA. She was buried on 15 Mar 1977 in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Their children included Pauline Zuber and Cleta Zuber.

9.      Infant Girl ZUBER was stillborn on 29 Jul 1888 in Allen County, Ohio, USA.

10.  Jacob Elluloid ZUBER was born on 14 Aug 1887 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was married to Estella FANTZ about 1910. Estella FANTZ was born about 1888. She died on 22 Jan 1945 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. She was buried on 24 Jan 1945 in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Jacob died on 11 Aug 1970 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was buried in Fort Amanda Cemetery, Auglaize County, Ohio, USA. They had no children.

11.  Iona Ruth ZUBER was born on 20 Nov 1894 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. he was married to Frank THOMAS (son of Elijah THOMAS and Mary Catherine MILLER) on 23 Apr 1915. Frank THOMAS was born on 21 Oct 1892 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. He died on 23 May 1974 in Spencerville, Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was buried on 27 May 1974 in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Iona died on 13 Aug 1986 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA. She was buried on 16 Aug 1986 in St Matthews Cemetery, Cridersville, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  Their children included Leroy Earl Thomas, Ralph Franklin Thomas, Naomi Thomas and Evelyn Mae Thomas.

**John Peter ZUBER was born on 8 March 1878 in Shawnee Township, Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was baptized on 9 February 1879. He was married first to Janetta BOWSHER (daughter of Jacob L BOWSHER and Esther Salena CRITES) on 4 Jun 1902. Janetta BOWSHER was born on 5 Jul 1875 in Adolphia, Ross County, Ohio, USA. She died on 19 Jun 1904.  They had one child, Harold, who only lived a few months.  John was married second to Florence CUTRIGHT (daughter of Elijah CUTRIGHT and Elizabeth UNKNOWN) on 14 Feb 1906. Florence CUTRIGHT was born on 24 Feb 1870 in Ross County, Ohio, USA. She died on 4 Apr 1907 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA. She was buried on 8 Apr 1907. John and Florence had one child, Kenneth Elijah ZUBER.  John was married third to **Susanna Jane ROBERTS (daughter of Francis M ROBERTS and Emma ROUSH) on 2 Sep 1908. Susanna Jane ROBERTS was born on 8 Dec 1880 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. She died on 10 Jul 1952 in Allen County, Ohio, USA. She was buried on 13 Jul 1952 in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Route 309 and Ridge Road, Allen County, Ohio, USA.  John and Susanna's children included

She was buried on 11 Apr 1970 in Ottawa River Cemetery, Rimer, Putnam County, Ohio, USA.  John died on 17 Apr 1969 in Spencerville, Allen County, Ohio, USA. He was buried on 20 Apr 1969 in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Route 309 and Ridge Road, Allen County, Ohio, USA.
