Here is a brief beginning to our family history.

My family's line of descent is marked with a **.

**Bartholomew ZUBER (son of Caspar ZUBER and Susanna SCHUH) was born on October 14, 1814 in Baden, Germany. She was christened on August 1, 1816 in Evangelisch, Handschuhsheim Heidelberg, Heidelberg, Baden, Germany. Bartholomew and Christina immigrated to the United States.  The family is listed aboard the ship 'Gallia', arriving at the port of New York (Castle Garden) on 22 April 1852. Listed as from Bavaria are: Bartholomaus, age 38, male, farmer; Christina, age 36, female; Anna Maria, age 5, female; and Johannes, age 2, male.  Christina died between 1860 and 1862 in Ohio.
