County, Illinois

The "Thuringa" the ship the family came over on in 30 April 1874, docked in New York.

Friedrich Zimmermann

7 November 1821- 2 May 1907

Born in Klockow Brandenburg Prussia 7 November 1821.

Little is know about Freidrich from his birth to his marriage

to Johannes Freidericke Albertine Stimm 22 March 1846.

According to the Church in Schönfeld, on Friedrich's marriage record,

his father name is Carl Freidrich Zimmermann from Züsedom. His

occupation was an Arbeitmann. That's the German name for worker.

Freidrich and Johanne had eight children, Wilhelmine, Carl, Wilhelm,

Wilhemine Caroline, Auguste Karoline, Caroloine, August, Freiderike.

On 15 April 1874 Fredrich left Hamburg, Germany on board the ship "Thuringa" arriving in Harve, France

18 April 1974 and finally arriving in New York 30 April 1874. On board with him, his Johanne, Wilhelm,

August, Auguste, Freiderike. From 1874 to 1880 I have no record of Freidrich. He shows up in the 1880 census

living with son Carl in Sumner Township Kankakee County, Illinois. He farmed with his son Carl until his death

2 May 1907. He is buried in the family plot in Heusing Cemetery in Sumner Township.
