Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Zimmermann

27 October 1847- 29 September 1937

Carl Friedrich Wilhem Zimmermann was born in Klockow,

Brandenburg, Prussia on 27 October 1847. He died 29

September 1937 in Sumner Township, Kankakee County, IL.

According to the 1900 US censuses he arrived in America

in 1868. On 17 May 1874 he married Dorothea Engor in the Zion Lutheran

Church in Sumner Township. There is some confusion to

Dorothea surname. According to the St Johns Church in Grant

Park, Illinios her surname is Voss, marriage register with the state is

Engor. Carl became US citizen on 21 December 1875. On 18

February 1902 Dorothea passed away. She is buried in the

Zimmermann Family plot in th Heusing Cemetery Sumner Township.

About 1904 or 1905 Carl married Auguste Block of Minnesota. She had one

son Emile Block. Carl died 29 September 1937 in Sumner Township,

Illinios. He is buried in the Zimmermann Family plot in Heusing Cemetery

Sumner Township. Auguste died 18 January 1942 in Grant Park, Il.

and is buried in Heusing Cemetery next Carl.
