Bud Fielder

Bud was a very private person. This memorial service is not what Bud would have wished. Bud would have detested the attention he is getting now. Given the chance no doubt, he would have gone golfing today. We pray Bud will forgive us for having the need to say good bye to someone that meant so much to us all. Bud was confortable within himself. He enjoyed the quiet times at home with his books and working with his hands. Everything he did was a peice of art. Bud put his soul and talent into everything he touched. The arts, sciences and history were always like candy to him, which he devoured witha voracious appetite.

Bud loved his family, above all else. No better husband or father could ever be imagined much less possessed. Bud's love and wisdon was the backbone of his family. He taught his sons that hugging and words of love didn't make them less of a man only stronger. Bud made sure everyone in his world knew they were loved and cared for. His wife of nearly fifty years, Peggy, His oldest son Perry and grandson Kyle. His son Greg and wife Sandra and granddaughter, Rachel, was the center of his world. Anyone visiting the Fielder home could see this love wwithin the pictures he painted of them hanging on the walls. Working on his family tree brought him great joy. We hope by now he has found which john L. Fielder belongs where.

Bud had many friends all over the country as friendship was important to him. His sense of humor and great joy for life made making friends easy.

No one appreciated God's world like Bud. He enjoyed every aspect of nature. Bud always was in wonderment of its beauty. He took the time to learn most every bird, tree, plant and cloud. He sould sit for hours listening to the music that God put here for us. He was happy to have had at least a dozen years in Florida, that he thought of as a tropical paradise. Bud taught his sons to apperciate and see so many wonderful things through his eyes.

He had a great gift as an artist. He enjoyed painting, but never really believed he was as good as everyone claimed, he always thought he could do better. When a reporter from the newspaper learned about his pintings and asked if they could do a write-up about him, he declined. Then again he never liked the attention he recieved for his work.

He loved to golf, enjoyed most every sport, and really missed ice fishing in Michigan.

We have been truly blessed to have had Bud Fielder in this world and in our lives. He will live on in our lives as love. And the love we will show our childern and our children's children.

As would have been his wish.
