HOLLIDAY Family

First Generation

1. William E.1 Holliday was born in Mo. August 31, 1889. William died after 1927 in Mo..

He married twice. He married an unknown person in Mo., before 1915. He married Rosa May Propes in Mo., after 1920. Rosa was born in Illinois December 20, 1887. She was the daughter of Hiram Casey Propes and Mary Frances Middleton. She married John Flannery Williamson in Marion Co.,IL., December 13, 1902.(366) Rosa was only 15, Flannery was over 21.

She married Frank Gaston in Mo., after 1911. Rosa died November 10, 1970 in Farmington, St.francois, Mo., at 82 years of age. Though the newspaper article makes it appear that John Flannery Williamson was living with Rosa, I believe she had already divorced John Flannery and had married William Holliday. There is mention in the articles of John Flannery Williamson directing one of the Holliday boys to clean up the shot gun. If Rosa married William Holliday after 1935, then the children shown on the group sheet are William's by a previous wife.
