Margaret died March 2, 1880 in IL.⁽⁵³⁾ Her body was interred after March 2, 1880 in Mt.Zion Cemetery,Jefferson Co.,IL..⁽⁵⁴⁾ She married John Westly Haney in Jefferson Co.,IL., January 13, 1859.(55) John was born in Illinois 1836. He was the son of Timothy Haney and unknown. John died November 4, 1878 in probably Jefferson Co.,IL.. He was inducted into the military in Olney, IL., April 6, 1865. John Westly Haney was drafted into the Civil War on April 6, 1865 by Captain Scott at Olney, IL. He term was one year. John W. Haney was a Private in the 65th Regiment of the Illinois Infantry, Co. E. John W. Haney's military papers describe him as 5 ft. 8 in. tall, black eyes, brown hair, dark complexion, age 28, a farmer. John W. Haney was discharged from service on July 3, 1865 at Greensboro, North Carolina by Captain Smith.
