1. David¹ Dow was born 1840.

David was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 Census in Jefferson Co.,IL..⁽¹⁷⁵⁾ David Dow is the only Dow listed in 1840 Jefferson County, IL. census, near Henry & Thomas Williamson's families. I believe him to be the father of Sarah & Helena Dow, both of whom married Williamsons in the late 1840's.

David Dow had the following children:

2 i. Hallena² Dow was born in Illinois 1828. Hallena died after 1900. She married Jarvis Williamson in Jefferson Co., Illinois, March 8, 1846.(176) Jarvis was born in Ky/tn March 11, 1821. He was the son of Henry Williamson and Nancy Nothen. He married Louisa Casey in Jefferson Co., Il, December 24, 1841.⁽¹⁷⁷⁾ Jarvis died June 22, 1887 in Jefferson Co., Il, at 66 years of age. His body was interred after June 22, 1887 in Mt.Olive Cem., Webber Twp., Jefferson Co., Il..⁽¹⁷⁸⁾ Jarvis was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Jefferson Co.,IL..⁽¹⁷⁹⁾ Jarvis was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census in Lynchburg, T3S, R4E, Pendleton, Jefferson Co.,IL..⁽¹⁸⁰⁾ (See Jarvis Williamson for the continuation of this line.)

3 ii. Sarah Ann Dow was born in Illinois May 1, 1829. Kent Williamson gives Carlyle, Illinois as birthplace. Sarah died August 4, 1908 in Laird Cemetery, Illinois, at 79 years of age.⁽¹⁸¹⁾ She married Patrick N. Williamson in Jefferson Co., Illinois, October 10, 1847.(182) Patrick was born in Wayne Co., Illinois August 14, 1829.⁽¹⁸³⁾ He was the son of Henry Williamson and Nancy Nothen. Patrick died August 2, 1903 in Laird Cem., Illinois, at 73 years of age.⁽¹⁸⁴⁾ Patrick was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Jefferson Co.,IL..⁽¹⁸⁵⁾ Patrick was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census in Pendleton Twp.,Jefferson Co.,IL..⁽¹⁸⁶⁾ (See Patrick N.
