9. Calvin⁹ Anspach (Michael⁸, (John) Jacob⁷, Michael Mathias⁶, Johan Jacob⁵, Johan George⁴, Johan Balthsar³, Hans Jacob², Jacob¹) was born in Clay County, Illinois November 11, 1857. Death Certificate gives birthdate as Nov.11,1856. Calvin died October 1, 1936 in Romine Twp., Marion Co., Il, at 78 years of age.⁽¹¹⁾ His body was interred October 2, 1936 in Palestine Cem., Romine Twp., Marion Co., Il.⁽¹²⁾

He married three times. He married Emma Simms in Wayne County, Illinois, August 20, 1885.(13) Emma was born in Wayne Co., Il April 15, 1866. Emma died October 2, 1892 in Wayne Co., Il, at 26 years of age. Her body was interred after October 2, 1892 in Little Prairie Cem., Edwards Co., Il. He married Margaret Ann Foster in Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, October 16, 1900.(14) Margaret was born in White Co., Il. 1870. She was the daughter of James Foster and Diantha Talkington. She married Andrew Dalton in Possibly Wayne Co., Il, 1890. Margaret died BET. 1908-1920 in Massilon Twp., Wayne Co., Illinois. Her body was interred in Palestine Cem., Romine Twp., Marion Co., Il. He married Caroline Turner in Marion Co.,IL., July 4, 1924.(15) Caroline was born in Lawrence Co.,IL. December 23, 1856. On some records 1854 is given. She was the daughter of John R. Turner and Sarah Ann Fiscus.

She married Samuel Michael in Lawrence Co., Il, May 13, 1880.⁽¹⁶⁾ She married Shadrick "Shady" Hill in Illinois, 1897. Caroline died July 16, 1940 in Marion Co.,IL., at 83 years of age. On some records July 6 is given.

Her body was interred July 18, 1940 in Wooley Cemetery, Iuka, Il..⁽¹⁷⁾ Caroline Turner married Samuel Michael 1st, had six children. Two of the girls (first, Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" and after her death, Minnie) married Charles Williamson. Charles & Lizzie's only daughter, Effie Williamson married John Oscar Anspach. Later, Caroline married John O. Anspach's father, Calvin Anspach. So Caroline became her grand-daughter's mother-in-law. Calvin A. Anspach lived 79 years, 9 months, and 20 days according to his death certificate - registered no.8, filed Oct.10, 1936 by Orin Jones, Registar, Iuka,IL. Calvin Anspach was married (to Caroline Turner) at the time of his death. The couple resided in Romine Twp., Marion Co.,IL. Calvin was a farmer. W. H. Hall of Sandoval,IL gave the information to the Registar. He knew that Calvin's parents were Michael Anspach, birthplace Pennsylvania, and Adaline Henderson, born in Ohio. Calvin was married three times, first to Emma Simms, second to Margaret Ann Foster Dalton, third to Caroline Turner Michael Hill. The third marriage to Caroline Turner made Caroline the mother-in-law of her own grand-child, Effie Williamson Anspach. 13 iv. Essie Marie Anspach was born in Wayne Co., Il March 4, 1902. Essie died May 11, 1902 in Wayne Co., Il, at less than one year of age. Her body was interred after May 11, 1902 in Little Prairie Cem., Edwards Co.il.
