2 i. Barbara Catherine² Cole was born in KY 1852. Joy Bartley gives birthdate as 1852 KY, census reports give 1857 IL. Barbara died May 15, 1882 in Marion Co.,IL. Joy Bartley says the year is very hard to read and may be 1882. Her body was interred after May 15, 1882 in Phillips Cem.,Marion Co.,IL.. She married Gilliam or Gilman Luttrell in Marion Co.,IL, July 23, 1869.(20)

Gilliam was born in IL 1845. He was the son of William Luttrell and Minerva Shelton. Gilliam died estimated 1886 in Marion Co.,IL.. His body was interred estimated 1886 in Phillips Cem.,Marion Co.,IL.. Gilliam was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Omega Twp.,Marion Co.,IL..⁽²¹⁾ (See Gilliam or Gilman Luttrell for the continuation of this line.) Joy Bartley says the tombstone reads Catherine B. Luttrell and the date is difficult to read, but thinks it is 1882. The main problem is that Barbara's mother was named Catherine Barbara and married Gilliam's father, William Luttrell, so this could possibly be her tombstone instead of Barbara's.
