1. James¹ Briley was born in North Carolina about 1794.

He married Jane Bandy in Sumner County, Tennessee, March 21, 1817. Jane was born in North Carolina about 1798.

James Briley and Jane Bandy had the following children:

+ 2 i. Joseph² Briley was born 1826.

3 ii. Samuel Briley was born about 1833.

4 iii. Mary Frances Briley was born about 1835. She married James W. White in Sumner County, Tennessee, January 23, 1856. James was born in Tennessee about 1826. He was the son of William White and Sarah Tyler. (See James W. White for the continuation of this line.)

5 iv. Marcus Briley was born about 1837.
