I believe Margarett gave the info., because it seems her older children are listed before Calvin's children from his previous marriage. Obituary of Elizabeth (Martin) Chambers, The New Era, Greensburg, Indiana (May 5, 1886), (hereafter cited as Elizabeth Chambers Obit., The New Era).page 4 column 3: OBITUARY - Elizabeth Martin was born in the State of Kentucky in the year 1815. She came to Indiana when she was 14 years old. At the age of 17 she joined the Baptist church. She was married to J. S. Chambers February 22nd, 1841 in the county of Decatur. Was the mother of seven children of whom six are living. Joined the United Brethern church in the year 1857. Her life has always been that of a consistent christian and devoted wife and mother. Her age at her death April 25th 1886 was 70 years, 8 months and 25 days. Sister Chambers has been sorely afflicted for many years. But with all her sore afflictions she bore all with resignation and christian fortitude, not complainingly. She leaves many dear friends, beside her own family to mourn her loss. But we do not mourn as those who have no hope, for if she cannot come to us we can go to her. Her funeral was preached at her residence by Rev. Sam NcKee. The text taken from Revelation was, "~And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord."~ She was buried at Union Chapel in Decatur county near St. Omer.

920. Gayle Skibinski skibinski@mvn.net Fri, 12 May 2000 (hereafter cited as Gayle Skibinski, Yvonne White).: Talkington family - Date: Fri, 12 May 2000 Hello, I am researching the Joseph Skibinski family and found your postings on Rootsweb. Joseph's granddaughter, Estella Skibinski, married Jesse J. Talkington (son of Charles Talkington and Mary Scudder) on 12 Sep 1899. I have found two other previous marriages of Jesse: to Rebecca D. Newby 3 Dec 1882 and Amanda A. Davis 11 Mar 1888. I have Jesse's birthdate only as 1865 in IN. In the 1900 census I found Jesse and Estella (Stella May) living in White Co., IL with Edward, son, born Nov 1888 and Thena G., daughter, born May 1900. Also living with them was Zella B. Skilenski (Skibinski) SinL (sister in law?). Edward must be a child from his marriage to Amanda Davis. In the 1910 White Co. census I found more children with James (Jesse) and Estella: Daisy, Lillian, Miles, Coleman and Mary. These are translated copies of the census and I will have to find the originals to see if I can get better info. The 1900 shows Jesse as 39 and Stella as 14. In 1910 Jesse is 34 and Estella is 27. Estella was born 3 Feb 1882. I am trying to track down all the descendants of Joseph and would appreciate any info you might have of Jesse and Estella's children or anyone I might contact to find them. I have very little on Jesse, but more on Estella's family. I would be happy to share anything I have. Thank You, Gayle Skibinski skibinski@mvn.net

970. Gayle Skibinski, Yvonne White.: Talkington family - Date: Fri, 12 May 2000 Hello, I am researching the Joseph Skibinski family and found your postings on Rootsweb.

I'm not sure why, but all the children are listed under Anspach. I believe Margarett gave the info., because it seems her older children are listed before Calvin's children from his previous marriage. Therefore, I think the first three listed were actually Daltons, not Anspachs.
