Levi Petro and Sarah Burkhart had the following child:

child 2 i. George2 Petro was born about 1823. This is a guess, I have no census info. on George. George died before 1907 in Brown Co.,IN. He married twice. He married Sophia Calvin in Brown Co.,IN, November 5, 1846. He married Armilda or Amilda Barnett in Indiana, December 14, 1875.(843) Armilda was born in IN 1830.(844) She was the daughter of Mr. Barnett and Sarah Hamblen. She married Peter Anspach in Brown Co.,Indiana, September 16, 1855.(845) Armilda died May 15, 1907 in Indiana?. Armilda was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Brown Co.,IN. Son John is 2 on this census & birthplace is given as IN. Armilda recieved Peter's part of inheritance payments when his father, Jacob, died. James Mann was executor of Jacob's estate. I am unsure how, when, or if Armilda was informed of Peter's death in California. She remarried in 1875. From "The Hamblen and Allied Families" by A. Porter Hamblen 1940 Armilda Barnett was born Dec 21, 1823. She was daughter of Sarah (Sally) Hamblen and Mr._ Barnett. Sarah Hamblen was dau of Job Hamblen, son of George Hamblen. Armilda was probably born in Haw Patch country, Bartholomew Co.. Armilda moved with mother in 1830 to Job Hamblen homestead where she grew up. Armilda was in Spencer & Sarah Barnett's household in Brown Co.,IN. in 1850. I am not sure if they were her parents or grandparents. BARNET, ARMILDA 25 IN; BARNET, SPENCER 61 KY; BARNET, SARAH 65 MD; BARNET, ANGELINE 20 IN. She and her son John Anspach were in Brown Co., IN. on the 1860 census also. Index says: ANSPACH, ARMILDA 30 IND; AMSPRAM, JOHN 02 IND.

Lillian Peterka is a descendant of George & Sophia Calvin Petro. She says they had nine children, but does not believe George had any children with Amilda. Lillian says George was in the Civil War and was in Sherman's march. After he returned home, George had a wagon accident and lost a leg. She says Amilda received a widow's pension because of George's military duty. George Petro's homestead was on the north edge of Brown County, 3/4 miles north of Spearsville, Indiana. George Petro was a Pvt. Civil war Company A, or D 82nd Indiana.
