1. John¹ Parkison was born after 1770. John died about 1836 in Decatur Co.,IN.

He married Jane or Jennette unknown before 1800. Jane was born after 1842. Jane died after 1842. John & Jane/Jennette's son, Jonathan, listed his parents as foreign born. The 1830 census gives head-of-household, John Parkison, as 50, but under 60. Robert Parkison gave me the info. on these families and in his source notes lists: Holmes, Early Landowners of Decatur County in no series (n.p.: n.pub., n.d.). Smith, History of Presbyterian Church, Lebanon, Ohio in no series (n.p.: n.pub., n.d.), 332. U. S. Census 1830 Decatur County, IN.

John Parkison and Jane or Jennette unknown had the following children:

2 i. James² Parkison was born before 1800. James died September 3, 1823.

3 ii. George Parkison was born about 1800. George died after 1840 in Noble Twp., Shelby Co.,IN.. He married Lucretia Dawson in Warren Co., OH., April 3, 1823. Lucretia was born 1810. Robert Parkison gives sources as Warren Co.,Ohio Marriage records, Page 1957. The Western Star Newspaper.

+ 4 iii. Jonathan Parkison was born July 29, 1800.⁽⁸⁰⁸⁾

5 iv. Mary A. Parkison was born in PA or OH. November 2, 1802. Mary died March 10, 1888 in Decatur Co.,IN, at 85 years of age. Her body was interred after March 10, 1888 in Union Chapel Cem.,Decatur Co.,IN.

+ 6 v. Moses Parkison was born January 7, 1805.

+ 7 vi. Samuel Parkison was born about 1810.

+ 8 vii. John Parkison was born 1810.
