He married Christina Deem in Campbell Co.,KY, Oct.27,1798.(634) Christina was born in Westmoreland Co.,PA May 27, 1779.⁽⁶³⁵⁾ She was the daughter of Johan Nicolas Deem and Mary Magthalena Dils. Christina died May 25,1834 in Decatur Co.,IN., at 54 years of age. Her body was interred after May 25, 1834 in Hebron Cem., Clay Twp.Decatur Co.,IN..⁽⁶³⁶⁾ She was baptized in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, September 10, 1783. Religion: religion unknown. Johan Nicholas and Mary Magdalena (Diehl) had a daughter, Christina born July 2, 1781 and baptised September 10, 1783 at Sewickley Settlement by Pastor Web r, and sponsored by Christina Diehm, grandmother - notes from Internet, lost the author. However, her tombstone info. gives birth & death dates as : May 27, 1779 - May 25, 1834.

He married Elsie Madden in Decatur Co.,Indiana, October 1, 1840.(637) Elsie was divorced from Thomas Israel in Decatur Co.,Indiana, before June 1842.⁽⁶³⁸⁾ He married Jane Ligett in Butler Co.,Ohio, September 20, 1842.(639) Jane was born in England 1801. Jane died after 1850 in Indiana?. Jane's info. & 1850 Decatur Co.,IN. info. for Thomas & Jane came from Louise Israel.

Thomas was divorced from Elsie Madden in Decatur Co.,Indiana, before June 1842.⁽⁶⁴⁰⁾ Thomas was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Adams Twp., Decatur Co.,IN..⁽⁶⁴¹⁾ Thomas Israel appeared on 1800 and 1810 Tax Lists of Campbell Co.,Kentucky. According to Vernice Robinson, Thomas acquired 100 acres from David Leitch in 1803 in Campbell Co.,KY. He was in Butler Co.,Ohio and appeared as head-of-household in Madison Twp., Butler Co. in 1820 census. Thomas Israel was also among the Early Land Owners of Decatur Co., Indiana appearing on page 152, dated Dec.5, 1833 and page 209, dated Aug.8, 1826. Thomas Israel died in 1858 and his probate records are included in Probate Order Book 4, p.569, Decatur Co., Indiana. His heirs are listed as dau. Mary Kline, wife of Levi, son John Israel, heirs of dau. Nellie, wife of Jacob Ansbach, heirs of son Thomas Israel Jr., son Joseph D. Israel, son Moses C. Israel, Lucinda Israel, dau. Elizabeth Thomas wife of Shem, dau. Malinda Jewett wife of H.D. George Israel is not included, may already have died without heirs. I found a Joseph Israel in 1810 Kentucky census index book on p.36 - ISRAEL, Joseph c2-28a-8. I think that means Campbell Co.,KY, but no longer have the reference meanings. I did not find Thomas in that index. I found in 1830 Indiana Census Index: ISRAEL, A. F. Floyd Co. p.644, Isom Johnson Co. p.82, John (Isreal) Decatur Co. p.806, John Johnson Co. p.46, Thomas Decatur Co. p.806. In the 1840 Indiana Census Index were: ISRAEL, Andrew F. Floyd Co. p.245, Archilles M. Johnson Co. p.539, Isaac Fayette Co. p.159, James P. Johnson Co. p.527, Jesse Johnson Co. p.609, John Decatur Co. p.371, John E. Johnson Co. p.527, Thomas Decatur Co. 445, ISREAL, Thomas Decatur Co. p.445. In the 1850 Indiana Census Index under ISRAEL: Decatur Co. - Jane, p.105, Adams Twp., John p.016, Greensburg, Lucinda p.114, Adams Twp., Thomas p.104, Adams Twp., Thomas Jr. p.104, Adams Twp.

Elloner died June 10, 1856 in Clay County, Illinois, at 56 years of age.⁽⁶⁴²⁾ Her body was interred after June 10, 1856 in Golden Cemetery,Harter Twp.,Clay Co.,IL., Golden Cemetery.⁽⁶⁴³⁾ She married (John) Jacob Anspach in Butler County, Ohio, January 4, 1816.(644) Jacob was born in Buffalo Vally, Union County, Pennsylvania October 26, 1792.⁽⁶⁴⁵⁾ He was the son of Michael Mathias Anspach and Anna Margreth Reed. Jacob died February 28, 1859 in Clay County, Illinois, at 66 years of age.⁽⁶⁴⁶⁾ His body was interred after February 28, 1859 in Golden Cem.,Harter Twp.,Clay Co.,IL, Golden.⁽⁶⁴⁷⁾ He was christened in Driesback's Luthern Church.⁽⁶⁴⁸⁾ Jacob's occupation: Farmer in OH>IN>IL. Jacob also was a Mason in Indiana, and did some blacksmithing.

Jacob was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 Census in Madison Twp.,Butler Co.,Ohio.⁽⁶⁴⁹⁾ He bought property in Decatur Co.,Indiana, March 8, 1828.⁽⁶⁵⁰⁾ Jacob was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Decatur Co.,Indiana.⁽⁶⁵¹⁾ (See (John) Jacob Anspach for the continuation of this line.) Elloner's name was spelled different ways, but is Elloner on her tombstone. Her family apparently called her Nellie, as the probate records of her father list her as Nellie Ansbach.

4 ii. Elizabeth Israel was born in Campbell Co.,KY about 1804. Elizabeth died after 1858. Elizabeth was mentioned in Thomas Israel Sr.'s Probate. She married Shem Thomas in Decatur Co.,IN., Oct.24,1839.(652)

6 iv. Sarah Jane Israel was born in Nelson Co.,Kentucky 1808.⁽⁶⁵³⁾ Sarah died before 1858. Not listed in Probate of father, Thomas Israel Sr.

7 v. Margaret Israel was born in Butler Co.,Ohio 1810. Sue Bleger & Ernest R. Boyd gave info. on Margaret's birth and place.

8 vi. Mary Israel was born in Butler Co.,Ohio 1812.⁽⁶⁵⁴⁾ Polly died August 4, 1886 in Greensburg, Decatur Co.,IN..⁽⁶⁵⁵⁾ She married Levi Kline in Decatur Co.,IN., July 20,1843.(656) Both Levi & Polly are in DAR death records of Decatur Co.,Indiana, according to the family group sheet for Thomas Israel & Christina Deem, from J. Robert Israel.

9 vii. Adam Israel was born in Butler Co.,Ohio 1815.⁽⁶⁵⁷⁾ Adam is listed as having died young.

+ 10 viii. Thomas Jr. Israel was born March 22, 1818.

11 ix. William Israel was born in Butler Co.,Ohio 1819. William died 1832 in Greensburg, Decatur Co.,Indiana. Sue Bleger seemed to think William may have applied for marriage license before his death in 1832. Evidently he died before-hand and there was no marriage return.

12 x. Moses Croom Israel was born in Middletown, Butler Co.,OH November 11, 1820. Vernice Robinson & Sue Bleger gave this date/place to J. Robert Israel. Moses died February 12, 1907 in Ottumwa, Wappella Co., Iowa, at 86 years of age. His body was interred after February 12, 1907 in Ashland Cemetery, Wapella Co.,Iowa. He married Ruth Brownfield in Decatur Co.,IN., Aug.20,1844.(658)

13 xi. Joseph D. Israel was born in Butler Co., Ohio 1822. He married Juliet Nixon after 1840.

14 xii. Malinda Israel was born in Butler Co.,Ohio May 7,1823.⁽⁶⁵⁹⁾ Malinda died October 22, 1880 in Adams Twp.,Decatur Co.,IN, at 57 years of age.⁽⁶⁶⁰⁾ She married Hiram D. Jewett in Decatur Co.,IN., Nov.21,1840.(661) Hiram was born in New Jersey January 17, 1822.⁽⁶⁶²⁾ He was the son of David Jewett and Elizabeth Crosby. Hiram died March 25, 1890 in Adams Twp.,Decatur Co.,IN., at 68 years of age.⁽⁶⁶³⁾ (See Hiram D. Jewett for the continuation of this line.)

15 xiii. Lucinda Israel was born in Butler Co.,Ohio 1827. Lucinda died after 1891 in Decatur Co.,Indiana.⁽⁶⁶⁴⁾ Lucinda lived with her sister, Malinda's family after Malinda married Hiram D. Jewett in 1840. Lucinda was mentioned in Hiram's will in 1891.

16 xiv. George L. Israel was born in Decatur Co.,Indiana 1845.⁽⁶⁶⁵⁾ George died after 1870. He resided in Adams Twp.,Decatur Co.,IN. 1860. J. Robert Israel says George was living with Hiram & Malinda Israel Jewett in 1860. He says George was living with Moses Israel and family in 1870. George disappears after 1870, may have gone west or died.
