He married Mary Magdalena Bogenreif.
George Heinrich Barrav and Mary Magdalena Bogenreif had the following child:
Johann-Adam died February 25, 1838 in Fairfield Co.,OH., at 83 years of age. Karen Anspach Bott is a direct descendant & gave
me this info.
His body was interred after February 25, 1838 in New Reading Cemetery, Reading Twp.,, New Reading.(363) He served in the military during war time September 5, 1776 in
South Amboy,NJ..(364) Johann-Adam served in
the military in Tulpehocken, Berks Co., PA, June 1780.(365) Johann-Adam registered to pay taxes in Tulpehocken, Berks Co., PA, 1790.(366) Johann-Adam applied for bounty land in Reading
Twp.,Perry Co.,OH., 1805.(367) (See Johann-Adam Anspach for the continuation of this line.) Barbara's headstone is still readable, though
the script used is German and in a style difficult to translate in places. Records from Christ Lutheran Church have the last nama as Barrav.
Other sources have it as Barrow, etc. According to Joel Kenderdines, Barrov/ Barrou/ Barrows all mean "barrell stay" in German, the metal
strips that bind the barrell. So this may be an occupational based surname. I have been told that Barbara also went by Bogenreif, but do not know what source that came from, all I know of is the church record with Barrav as surname.
