She married Daniel Cain in IL, after 1905. Emma died July 12,1938 in Springfield,IL, at 72 years of age. Her body was interred July 14,1938 in Calvery Cem.,Springfield, Sangamon Co.,IL, Calvery.

2 i. Sarah Ellen² Bernds was born in Shelbyville,IL Mar.13,1885. Sarah died Oct.05,1966 in Springfield,IL, at 81 years of age. She married William Martin Ryan in Springfield,IL, Dec.05,1902. Sadie was raised a Methodist, converted to Catholic at seventeen to marry William M. Ryan.

3 ii. Augusta Josephine Bernds was born in Shelbyville,IL Mar.08,1887. Augusta died Nov.20,1917 in Center,AL, at 30 years of age. Her body was interred after Nov.20,1917 in Calvery Cem.,Springfield,IL, Calvery. Gussie was blonde, attractive, & well-liked. She died by drowning in a tragic accident. The driver of the car she was traveling in mistakenly thought a ferry was a bridge and drove off it. She drowned in the Coosa River near Center,Alabama.
