105. Jacob⁵ Anspach (John⁴, Johan Jacob³, Johan George², Johannes Balthasar¹, Hans Jacob^A, Hans Henrich^B, Jacob^C, Jacob^D, Jacob^E, Ambrosius^F) was born in Berks Co., PA. June 15,1815. Jacob died July 28, 1860 in Decatur County, Indiana, at 45 years of age.⁽¹⁶⁶⁾ His body was interred after July 28, 1860 in Union Chapel Cem., Decatur Co.,IN..

He married Salome Leffler in IN, February 5, 1837.(167) Salome was born in Butler Co.,Ohio on Oct.30,1818.⁽¹⁶⁸⁾ She was the daughter of Solomon Leffler and Catherine Anspach. It was once believed that Catherine died without children. But court documents have been found showing she was present at court listed as Solomon Leffler's widow in 1828. The confusion happened because Salome's death record listed her parents as Solomon Leffler & Margaret Reed. But Salome's grandson gave the info & was obviously mistaken, Margaret Reed was Salome's Grandmother. Salome married Moses Parkison in IN., March 23, 1861.⁽¹⁶⁹⁾ She married Martin Chandler in IN., August 3, 1876.⁽¹⁷⁰⁾ Salome died June 13, 1901 in Greensburg,IN., at 82 years of age. Her body was interred after June 13, 1901 in Union Capel Church,Decatur Co.,IN, Union Chapel.⁽¹⁷¹⁾ Salome is buried next to her first husband, Jacob Anspach.

He was baptized in Christ Luthern Church,Stouchsburg,PA., Jan./Aug.19,1816. Religion: Luthern. Jacob was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Decatur Co.,IN.⁽¹⁷²⁾ This Jacob is sometimes referred to as Jacob Jr., but that is a reference to his age, because he was younger than his cousin (John) Jacob, who lived in the same township (Adams Twp., Decatur Co.,IN.) It is noted in Anspachs & Lefflers that the older Jacob was called Old Uncle Jacob by all the family - though he was not an Uncle, but a cousin.

Jacob Anspach and Salome Leffler had the following children:

+ 193 i. Joseph G.⁶ Anspach was born November 23, 1837.

+ 194 ii. Solomon Leslie Anspach was born Oct.8,1839.

195 iii. Sara Elizabeth Anspach was born in Decatur County, Indiana January 27, 1842. Sara died October 24, 1906 in St. Paul, Indiana, at 64 years of age. She married Abraham Tietsort in IN., August 12, 1858.(173) Decatur Co.,IN.

Abraham was born 22 Jan 1834 in Decatur Co., IN. Abraham died 23 Apr 1907. (Info. from Jan Docter.) (See Abraham Tietsort for the continuation of this line.)

196 iv. Mary Catherine Anspach was born in Decatur County, Indiana July 11, 1843. Mary died March 14, 1864 at 20 years of age.
