Tom died 1969 in Centralia, Marion County, Illinois. His body was interred 1969 in Snow Hill Cemetary, Iuka Township, Marion County, Illinois.

He married twice. He married Hellen Mary Porter in Marion Co.,IL., about 1934. Interviewed Donnie Anspach, their son, in 1995.

Hellen was born 1915. She was the daughter of Joseph W. Porter and Daisy M. Thompson. Hellen died August 28, 1940 in Illinois.(325) Her body was interred after August 28, 1940 in Snow Hill Cem.,Iuka, Marion Co.,IL.

He was killed by gunshot in Centralia,IL.
