101. John⁵ Anspach (John⁴, Johan Jacob³, Johan George², Johannes Balthasar¹, Hans Jacob^A, Hans Henrich^B, Jacob^C, Jacob^D, Jacob^E, Ambrosius^F) was born in Berks Co., PA. June 1, 1803. John died February 8, 1872 in Decatur Co.,IN., at 68 years of age. His body was interred February 10, 1872 in Union Chapel Cem.,Decatur Co.,IN, Union Chapel.

He married twice. He married Lydia Bailey in Hamilton, Butler Co., OH, December 18, 1825.(158) Lydia was born October 2, 1809. Lydia died August 30, 1847 in Decatur Co.,IN., at 37 years of age. He married Sarah E. Waddle in Decatur Co.,IN., February 26, 1852. Sarah was born February 13, 1835. Sarah died January 20, 1858 in Decatur Co.,IN, at 22 years of age. Her body was interred January 22, 1858 in Union Chapel Cem.,Decatur Co.,IN. There is a John Anspach of about the same age in this John's sister's home in 1850 Decatur Co.,IN. But there are no children listed. So I'm unsure of the children's placement if it is the same John. If it is a different John Anspach/Auspack, then I'm at a loss as to which. 1850 Adams Twp., Decatur Co.,IN. p.107 - 51/51 John WAGONER 59 m farmer PA., Catharine 47 f PA., John AUSPACK 49 m shoemaker PA. I do not know where the children were staying, Lydia died in 1847. If they were all of age, some of their birthdates are missing or in error. In 1870 Indiana,Decatur Co., IN. - Adams Twp., page 53, John is living with Lydia Garrett, his granddaughter - daughter of Abraham & Catherine Anspach Chriss.

John Anspach and Lydia Bailey had the following children:

180 ii. Catherine Anspach was born in OH September 1826. Catherine died August 24, 1899 in Shelby Co.,IN.⁽¹⁵⁹⁾ She married Abraham Chriss in IN, October 26, 1842.(160) Decatur Co.,IN.

Abraham was born in OH 1822.⁽¹⁶¹⁾ He was the son of Abraham Sr. Criss or Chriss and Catherine Ann unknown. Abraham died before July 1866 in IN.⁽¹⁶²⁾ (See Abraham Chriss for the continuation of this line.) Catherine Anspach Chriss was widowed before July 11, 1866 - Shelby Co.,IN. Probate Order Book 6 1865-67 page 270 reads Erwin W. Madison makes final settlement as adm. of the estate of Catharine Criss dec. The residue of her estate was dist. to; George and Sarah Criss, Mary Parkinson and Henry, Elisha and John Criss with Wm. Reed as their gdn. and Lydia Ann and Mary C. Garrett heirs of Abraham Criss and George W., Eliza C., Sarah E. and Amanda J. Criss with Catharine Criss as their gdn. and the heirs of William Criss. Sarah Criss is also listed as Sarah Christian. July 11, 1866.

182 iv. Philip Anspach was born in Decatur County, Indiana October 15, 1832. Philip died October 15, 1849 in St. Paul, Indiana, at 17 years of age. His body was interred after October 16, 1849 in Union Chapel Cem.,Decatur Co.,IN.

184 vi. Michael Anspach was born in Decatur County, Indiana April 7, 1836. Michael died April 29, 1917 in Iowa, at 81 years of age. He married Elizabeth Wise November 19, 1858. Elizabeth was born 19 NOV 1838. Elizabeth died UNKNOWN.

185 vii. Barbara Ellen Anspach was born in Decatur County, Indiana August 3, 1838. Barbara died April 5, 1912 at 73 years of age. Her body was interred after April 5, 1912 in Zion Mem. Cem., Moraine City, OH.. She married twice. She married Newton Hamilton Miller in Montgomery Co., OH., August 24, 1852.(163) Newton was born December 3, 1830. Newton died December 2, 1857 at 26 years of age. His body was interred after December 2, 1857 in Zion Mem. Cem., Moraine City, OH.. (See Newton Hamilton Miller for the continuation of this line.) She married Julius Hoch before 1867. Julius was born 1849. Julius died 1924. His body was interred 1924 in Zion Mem. Cem., Moraine City, OH.. (See Julius Hoch for the continuation of this line.) Michael Spaulding provided pictures of Barbara Ellen and her husbands' tombstones. Her birth and death dates are taken from it. She was listed as a twin to Marion in Donald R.'s book.

186 viii. Susan Anspach was born in Decatur Co.,IN about 1840. She married Emanuel Miller in Montgomery Co.,OH, August 4, 1857.(164) Emanuel was born before 1840.

187 ix. Sarah A. Anspach was born in Decatur Co.,IN about 1843. Sarah died before 1900 in OH. She married Peirson Brelsford about 1860.(165) Peirson was born in OH June 1831. Peirson died after 1900. (See Peirson Brelsford for the continuation of this line.)

189 xi. Katherine Anspach was born in OH/IN before 1847.

190 xii. Elizabeth Anspach was born before 1847. She married Samuel Ridlen.
