2. William Calvin² Bates (William¹) was born in Falmouth, Pendleton County, Kentucky 13 JUN 1855. William died 24 MAR 1911 in Roseburg, Origon, at 55 years of age. His body was interred 1911 in Myrtle Creek, Oregon.

He married Ida Ann Phoebe Colclasure in Clay County, Illinois, about 1884. Phoebe was born in Xenia Twp., Clay County, Illinois January 10, 1861. She was the daughter of Jacob P. Colclasure and America Ann Anspach. Phoebe died April 28, 1960 in San Diego County, San Diego, California, at 99 years of age. Her body was interred after April 28, 1960 in Myrtle Creek, Oregon.

William Calvin Bates and Ida Ann Phoebe Colclasure had the following children:

3 i. Deayn Leota Evalyn³ Bates was born in Louisville, Illinois SEP 1890. Evalyn died WFT Est. 1891-1984.

4 ii. Pearl A. Bates was born in Songer, Illinois 20 DEC 1882. Pearl died WFT Est. 1883-1976.

5 iii. Alice Maud Bates was born in Songer, Illinois 2 JUL 1884. Alice died WFT Est. 1885-1978.

+ 6 iv. Guy William Bates was born 16 OCT 1897.
