Rita M. ALLEN is her letter of 2-NOV-1929 notes that Grandma ALLEN hasbeen dead one year. She also says in her letter of 14-JAN-1929, thatGrandma ALLEN "died a week before my baby [John who died 7-DEC-1928].She was very old 97 years". This means Emily died around 30-NOV-1928and was born about 1831.
In fact, from her death certificate Emily died on 29-NOV-1928 at theage of 93 years at Coniston (near Wollongong). Her medical attendantwas Noel Kirkwood (registered). Her death was registered on30-NOV-1928 at Wollongong, NSW. Her father was given as StephenWHITEMAN (a builder) and her mother was unknown. The informant for thedeath registration was W.P. ALLEN - her son.

Thomas (bachelor) and Emily (spinster) were married by Hugh RobertGILCHRIST, a minister of the Scots Church of Campbelltown. It was aPresbyterian Marriage witnessed by Silvester B. WARBURTON and WilliamWARBURTON of Pyrmont, Sydney.
The marriage is also recorded in the LDS Aust. Vital Records Index(1851/V18511144/80) indicating they were married at St Peter'sPresbyterian Church, in the parish of Campbelltown, NSW. The marriagecertificate indicates they were married Pyrmont, Sydney, NSW. At thetime, Thomas lived at Rockwood, Campbelltown and Emily lived atLiverpool.
