It is interesting that several internet sources give 1 Aug 1359 in Brittany, France as the death date/place of John Avenel. This appears to be the same death date/place which The Magna Charta Sureties gave (in error I believe) to Margery's 1st husband William de Ros. William de Ros died in 1343 according to Ancestral Roots and Burke's Peerage.
John married Margery De Badlesmere Baroness Ros, daughter of Baron Bartholomew De Badlesmere Sir and Margaret De Clare, on 18 Oct 1363.1 (Margery De Badlesmere Baroness Ros was born in 1306 in Castle, Badlesmere, Kent, England 6 7 and died on 18 Oct 1363 in Helmsley, , Yorkshire, England 6 7.)
