Town and Port of Hastings: to wit The Examination of Mary Ann the wife of Jury Cramp touching the place of the last legal Settlement of Henry Edmonds now residing in the Parish of Saint Mary Magdalen in the said Town and Port Taken on Oath this first day of November 1831 Before two of his Majesty's Justices of peace for the said Town and Port.
Who saith that on the sixth day of February 1823 she was delivered of the said Henry Edmonds who is a Bastard Child at the house of Jury Cramp in the Parish of Bexhill in the County of Sussex and that the said Henry Edmonds is now actually chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Mary Magdalen.
