James married Mary John, daughter of William John and Mary Miller, on 18 Jul 1814 in Richmond, Cumberland County, New South Wales.¹ (Mary John was born on 2 Mar 1799 in Richmond, Cumberland County, New South Wales,⁴ died on 4 Jan 1848 in Wallarawang, Cook County, New South Wales ⁸ and was buried in Wallarawang, Cook County, New South Wales ⁴.)
