-PICTURES OF WADA/WADY PETRA AREA TODAY-
I drove to the area of old Wada Petra today, Thursday April 13, 2006, and it was very nice out for taking pictures. The area is pretty well hidden from Highway 91 by the trees along the Rock Island Trail which when it was an active line was the lifeblood of Wada Petra. A note here, Leeson's book from 1887 spells it Wada while others spell it Wady as in the photo below. Either way there is little left to remind us of the town platted here so many years ago.
