HOLD RITES TUESDAY FOR B. BLAUVELT, 88; BURIAL EAST WYOMING

Funeral services for Bradner H. Blauvelt, 88, of Toulon, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Kidd Funeral Home. Mr. Blauvelt, who had been at the Public Convalescent home in this city for past few years, died early Sunday Morning at Kewanee Public Hospital where he had been taken a few hours previously by ambulance. Rev. James S. Blair, Pastor of Elmira United Presbyterian church, officiated. Mrs. Helen Schmidt, organist, played two special numbers. "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden." Pall Bears were Chester Buchanan, of Kewanee; Earl McLennan, Ray H. Jackson, Curtis Wilson and Murray Jackson, of Elmira and Russell Jarman, of Bishop Hill. Burial was in Pleasant Valley cemetery, east of Wyoming. He was a son of Garrett A. and Emmor Peters Blauvelt and was born June 21, 1872, at Lawn Ridge. He was married October 6, 1896, in Wyoming to Cora Jarman, who preceded him in death. Mr. Blauvelt was a retired farmer and had made his home in Wyoming and Elmira communities before coming to Toulon to reside. He is survived by a daughter Jean, Mrs Ralph Girvin, of near Neponset; two sons, Roscoe and Howard, both of Kewanee, and a sister, Mrs Florence Bishop, of Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by two grandsons, four great-grandchildren and several nieces. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by a daughter Laura, who died in infancy, his parents and a sister.

Toulon- Carl D. McClanahan, 83,
prominent Toulon druggist and businessman for many years died at 5:15 am 14 September 1961 at his home. He had been ill a few months. The son of Elijah and Margaret Thomas McClenahan, he was born 15 December 1877 on the McClenahan farm south of Lafayette. He was a graduate f the Pharmacy Department of the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1903. He worked at Ravenswood one year and then came to Toulon where he worked in the Cover Drug Store until 1909 when he purchased the Harvey Wilson Pharmacy which he operated until his death. Mr. MeClanahan was a member of Toulon lodge 93, AF and AM. He was survived by one sister, Miss Ednah McClenahan, one borther Dr. Frank C. McClenahan, both of Toulon, two nephews and four nieces. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral rites would be held Saturday afternoon at the Kidd Funeral home. Complete arrangements were pending.

1963 - Toulon- Dr. Frank C. McClenahan, 83, of Toulon, died Saturday at 7:15 p.m. at his home in Toulon. Dr. McClenahan had been ill for the last two and one-half years and became critical about two months earlier. Frank Clifton McClenahan, the son of Elijah John and Margaret Ann McClenahan was born 2 December 1879 in Goshen township, near LaFayette. He recieved his education in the LaFayette schools and in 1901 entered Northwestern University Dental School graduating in May 1904. In June of the same year he established dental practice in Toulon. His dental career in Toulon extended over a period of 54 years. He was active in the old Christian church in Toulon and after that disbanded he became a member of the Congregational church. For many years he was an alderman in the city of Toulon and served on the local election board. He was married 22 December 1903 to Lucile Blanche Cary, daughter of Reverend Edwin A. and Camila Cary. They had two children, Mrs. Carl (Cary) Ublauer and Lt. Col. Frank McClenahan, U.S. Army. There were six grandchildren; Suzanne, Linda and Carol Ublauer, Marcia, David and Mary Lou McClenahan and a sister, Miss Ednah McClenahan of Toulon. Dr. McClenahan was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl D., Daniel H. and Bert C. McClenahan. Funeral arrangements were by Kidd Funeral Home in Toulon.

Miss Ednah D. McClanahan,
93 of Toulon died early Thursday morning at Kewanee Public Hospital. (4 January 1968) She was born 18 October 1874 near LaFayette, the daughter of the pioneer family of Elijah and Margaret Ann (Thomas) McClanahan. She attended the Lafayette District School and was graduated from the Toulon Acadmey in 1895 and then attended Valpariaiso University at Valparaiso, Indiana. Miss McClanahan was a past matron of Toulon Chapter 10, Order of Eastern Star; Past president of Toulon Chapter BY-PEO. She was a member of the Toulon Women’s Club and the Garden and Literature departments of the club. She was a member of the Toulon Congregational church. At the 83rd annual reunion of the Stark County Old Settlers Association, Miss McClanahan was honored by having her pciture on the souvenir badges. She was the last member of aher family being preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Dr. Frank McClanahan, Carl D. McClanahan, Bert C. McClanahan and Attorney Dan McClanahan. Funeral arrangements were pending and would be announced by the Kidd Funeral Club.

Mrs. Lewis (Clara) Beam 73,
died Thursday, May 8, 1975 at the Abingdon, Illinois. She had been ill for a considerable length of time. Clara Letitia, daughter of LaRome J and Mary E. Dixon was born June 24, 1901 in Stark County. She married Lewis W. Beam, September 5, 1935 in Galesburg. He died October 27, 1957. She is survived by one son, Lewis W. Jr. of Abingdon; five step-grandchildren; a brother Glen Dixon of Toulon, five sisters, Mrs Pauline Frail of Toulon, Mrs Bessie Abrams of Wyoming, Mrs Lucille Eckley of Monmouth, Mrs. Ada Moore and Mrs Emma Myers of Kansas City, Mo.

VERA BODWELL
WYOMING -- Vera Bodwell, 83, of 104 S. Seventh St. died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 1993, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. Born April 24, 1909, in Wyoming to Harry and Mary Knowles McCluen, she married Marion Bodwell on Aug. 19, 1935, in Atkinson. He died July 22, 1983. Surviving are one son, Tom of Wyoming; one stepgrandson; two stepgreat-granddaughters; one sister, Geraldine Koening of British Columbia; and one brother, Harry McCluen of Wyoming.

HOWARD GRAVES
WYOMING -- Howard H. Graves, 88, of Wyoming died at 3:20 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 7, 1993, at his home. Born Feb. 25, 1904, in Galesburg to Lyman and Cora Mae Holgate Graves, he married Marian E. Willcox in November 1943 in Wyoming. She died April 22, 1982, in Toulon. One sister preceded him in death.
Surviving are one son, the Rev. Jacob E.W. of Brodhead, Wis.; one granddaughter; four stepgrandchildren; two great- granddaughters; and five stepgreat-grandchildren. He was a World War II Army veteran.

HOWARD LEADLEY
WYOMING -- Howard B. Leadley, 86, of 108 W. Olive St. died at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 1995, at Toulon Health Care Center. Born Dec. 9, 1908, in Castleton to Frank and Hattie Ridgeway Leadley, he married Lena Brown on May 22, 1928, in Princeton. She died Oct. 11, 1969. He married Bernice Whittaker on Jan. 6, 1973, in Wyoming. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Francis of Buena Park, Calif.; two grandsons; and one great- grandson. He was a real estate broker for 45 years in Wyoming.

HARRY FRISBY SR.
WYOMING -- Harry C. Frisby Sr., 74, of 207 Washington St., mayor of Wyoming, died Monday, April 27, 1992, at Wyoming City Hall. Born Feb. 18, 1918, in Wyoming to Harry L. and Cora Curtis Frisby, he married Adaline Scott on June 24, 1940, in Moline. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sidney Harlan of Dunlap, Cassandra Frisby and Lesley Frisby, both of Kewanee; one son, Harry Jr. of Wyoming; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Cheesman of Colona.

Elam M. Hamilton, 69, of 407 W. Smith St. died at 6 a.m. Sunday, April 21, 1996, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Aug. 10, 1926, in Limestone County, Ala., to Thomas and Florrie Hudson Hamilton, he married Lura Bell Osborn on Feb. 15, 1947, in Athens, Ala. She survives.
Also surviving are eight sons, Alton "Sonny" of Peoria, John, David and Terry, all of Wyoming, Roger of Pekin, Charles of Durand, Anthony of Atterberry and Joseph of Wyoming IL and eight daughters……..

Sunna Unhold WYOMING _ Sunna Unhold, 60, of Wyoming died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1991, at her residence.
Born Aug. 29, 1930, in Vordernberg, Austria, to Alois and Hedwig Zeyringer Schefzik, she married Dr. Josef Unhold on Aug. 16, 1952, in Linz, Austria.
He survives along with four daughters, Heidi Unhold of Peoria, Eva Unhold of New York City, Martha Hultgren of Minneapolis, Minn., and Erika Unhold of Layfayette, Ind.; two sons, Dr. Gary Unhold of Peoria and Ernie Unhold of Wyoming.

WYOMING - Robert F. Jackson, 79, of Wyoming died at 4:57 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria of complications from hip surgery on March 13 in Texas.
Born Oct. 9, 1925, in Peoria to Everett and Anna McCurdy Jackson, he married Ruth Gibbs on Feb. 10, 1946, in Princeville. She survives. WYOMING - Horace L. McDaniel, 89, of Wyoming, Ill., died at 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2005, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Oct. 4, 1915, in Wyoming to Jacob and Matilda Adleman McDaniel, he married Elizabeth Finley on Jan. 8, 1941, in Davenport, Iowa. She survives. WYOMING - Kenneth L. Grigg, 77, of Wyoming died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Sept. 25, 1927, in Wyoming to Earl and Bonita Diamond Grigg, he married Jean Peterson DeMent on Dec. 19, 1953. She survives. Also surviving are one son, David (and Shirley) DeMent of Long Beach, Calif.; one grandson; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald of Wyoming.

Robert Hegwood
EAST PEORIA - Robert J. Hegwood, 76, of East Peoria, formerly of Wyoming, Ill., died at 8:03 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2004, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
Born Jan. 18, 1928, in Wyoming, he married Marlene Wurzer on Sept. 22, 1979, in Peoria. She survives. A World War II and Korean War Army veteran, he served in the 217th Artillery. He was a member of Wyoming American Legion Post 91.
He was a cross-country truck driver for many years before retiring.

WYOMING - Gene M. Newton, 87, a resident of Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, formerly of Wyoming, died at 9:20 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Born March 18, 1916, in Wyoming to Elbert and Anna Morse Newton, he married Pauline Meaker on Oct. 6, 1946, in Wyoming. She died April 27, 2002, in Peoria. He also was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Young; three brothers; and three sisters.

WYOMING - Opal I. McBride, 82, of Toulon Health Care Center in Toulon, formerly of Wyoming, died at 10:53 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
She was born April 26, 1921, in Stark County to Everett and Maggie Clark McBride. Surviving are three nephews, including Gordon (and Beth) Sutton of Wyoming.
She was a bookkeeper for Colgan Co. for many years.
She was a member of Wyoming United Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer for many years.

WYOMING - Morrow H. ''Skeet'' Cox, 95, of Dunedin, Fla., formerly of Wyoming, died at 2 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2003, at Manor Care of Dunedin.
Born Nov. 12, 1907, in Toulon to Oliver and Florence Ogburn Cox, he married Margaret King on May 30, 1942. She died Dec. 13, 1991, in Florida. He also was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Surviving are two nephews and three nieces.
Mr. Cox was a World War II Army veteran

WYOMING - Donald J. Hampton, 83, of Wyoming died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at Toulon Health Care Center in Toulon.
He was born June 7, 1919, in Peoria to John and Ula Adleman Hampton. Surviving are two nephews, including Larry (and Cynthia) Hampton of Kewanee.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
He and his brother, Harold, had owned and operated Hamps restaurant in Wyoming for many years.

WYOMING - Jennie Nichols, 104, formerly of Wyoming, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at Toulon Health Care Center.
Born June 25, 1897, in Bradford to Jacob and Ann Tilson Kopp, she married William Nichols on June 29, 1921, in Kewanee. He died Jan. 19, 1980. She also was preceded in death by two sisters.
Surviving is one sister, Dorothy Gottsche of Toulon. She was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Wyoming.

M. Nondes Poland
WYOMING - M. Nondes Poland, 93, formerly of Wyoming, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Toulon Health Care Center.
She was born June 2, 1908, in Sullivan to John and Ethel Harsh Poland. Surviving are two nieces, including Geraldine (and Willard) Meaker of Wyoming.

WYOMING - Daniel J. Gill, 35, of rural Wyoming, Ill., passed away at 10:07 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2006, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago after seven years of cancer treatment for leukemia.
Daniel was born Jan. 13, 1971, in Peoria, Ill., the son of Gene and Joanne Colgan Gill.
Surviving are his parents of rural Wyoming, Ill.; three brothers, Brian (and Karen) Gill of Voorhees, N.J., Peter (and Suzy) Gill of Princeville, Ill., and John (and Mary Catherine) Gill of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Maura Gill, a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Champaign, Ill.; six nieces and nephews; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Gill of Wyoming, Ill.; and maternal grandparents, Joseph P. and Majella Colgan of Wyoming, Ill.
His paternal grandfather, Clement Gill, preceded him in death.
Daniel attended Wyoming High School and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1993 with a B.S. in animal sciences.
He was a member of the Stark County Junior Fair Board and the Soil and Water Conservation Board.
He was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Camp Grove, Ill.
Daniel was a very spirited and energetic person and was very involved in his community. His senior year he was president of the Illini Pride organization, the governing body for Orange Crush, Illinois Basketball's cheering section.
His passion was farming and working with his livestock. He showed and helped his sister and brothers show many State Fair Champions.
With the help of Daniel's grandparents, Joseph P. and Majella Colgan, as well as Daniel's friendship and work with Father Francis Bashyem, a library in Koppal, Karnataka, India, was established in Daniel's name to further the education of rural Indian children.
Daniel was known by many and in the end was loved by all.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, April 22, 2006, at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Wyoming, Ill. Father Robert Rayson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2006, at Wyoming Funeral Home in Wyoming. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in rural Camp Grove, Ill. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Camp Grove; Dan Gill Library Fund, established in India; Stark County Junior Fair Association; or Leukemia Society of America.

She married Richard Bouton on October 9, 1949. He passed away October 1976. She then married Don Hedges on May 11, 1979 in Galva, Illinois.
Surviving are her husband; one granddaughter Jodi (Adam) Watson, of Wyoming, Illinois; one step grandson Austin Musselman, of Woodhull, Illinois; one great-grandson Camren Watson, of Wyoming, Illinois, one brother-in-law Glenn Milburn, of Wyoming, Illinois; one sister-in-law Maxine Routt, of Marquette Heights, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; one son Rex Bouton; one stepdaughter, Sandy Specht; three sisters and one brother.
She was a cook at Wyoming High School for many years, a homemaker, and a babysitter. She was a member of Wyoming United Methodist Church as well as a choir member for many years.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Wyoming United Methodist Church in Wyoming, Illinois. Rev. Martha Scaff and Rev. Prosper Tournear officiated. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2006 at Wyoming Funeral Home, Wyoming, Illinois. Burial was in Wyoming Cemetery.

Mrs. Truelove was born on January 16, 1929 in Copley Twp., Victoria, Illinois the daughter of Charles and Katherine (Johnson) Carlson. She married Ivan Truelove on October 4, 1947 in Knoxville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1992.
She is survived by one son, Dale (Karen) Truelove, of Knoxville, Illinois, three daughters, Nancy (Leonard) Kull, Jr., of Washington, Iowa, Maxine (Calvin) Schroeder and LaVon (William) Franklin, both of Toulon, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Maren) Carlson, of Oneida, Illinois and Bill Carlson of Galesburg, Illinois; and two sisters, Charlotte Birnbaum, of Corpus Christi, Texas and Florence (Ben) King, of Victoria, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eleanor Cox.
Mrs. Truelove graduated from Oneida High School in 1947. She was a bus driver for Toulon School District for many years. She was a member of Toulon United Methodist Church and its’ United Methodist Women, Toulon Legion Auxiliary, Stark County Farm Bureau, where she served as a director, Prime Timers and Red Hatters.
She had been an Election Judge, had bowled for many years, and sang with the Grammas & Grampas. She enjoyed baking cakes and wallpapering.

Born Jan. 22, 1906, in Secor, Ill., the daughter of Claus and Etta Benders Grafelman, she married Ernest Jackson on Aug. 18, 1923, in Pekin, Ill. He died Dec. 14, 1973. Donald Greathouse, 76,
of 422 E. Jefferson died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. Born May 5, 1930, in Putnam County, Ill., the son of Raymond and Faye Stockdale Greathouse, he married Alice Holocker on May 21, 1947. She died in September 1985.

of 601 N. Seventh died at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at Heartland Health Care Center in Henry, Ill.
Born Sept. 23, 1922, in Wyoming, Ill., the daughter of Francis and Marian Graves Irwin, she married John Torbert on Sept. 22, 1944, in Petersburg, Va. He died Aug. 20, 2003, in Kewanee. Also preceding her in death was one sister and one grandson.

Verna L. Bitting, 97,
of rural Wyoming died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at Kewanee Hospital in Kewanee. Born April 13, 1909, in Higbee, Mo., the daughter of Morris and Nora Reynolds Dennis, she married Lee Bitting on Aug. 4, 1929, in Harvey, Ill. He died Jan. 23, 1971.
Also preceding her in death is one son, John E. Bitting; one brother, Guy Dennis; and two sisters, Beatrice Gooch and Genelle Maupin.

of Wyoming died at 11:10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Toulon.
Born Dec. 19, 1917, in Rock Island, Ill., the daughter of Cornelius and Frieda Lippens Lazoen, she married James Traphagan on May 8, 1965, in Kewanee, Ill. He died Oct. 18, 2001, in Wyoming, Ill. Surviving are two nephews, Richard (and Brenda) Lazoen of Stanford, Ill., and Terry (and Kate) Lazoen of Port.........

Margaret Mummert Sibley, 85
, of Wyoming, died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Princeville. Monsignor Richard Soseman will officiate. Burial will be in Toulon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Stark County Community Service. Wyoming Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born April 19, 1921, in Akron Township, Peoria County, the daughter of Hugh and Mabel (Greene) Colgan.
She first married Wilbur Mummert and then she married Guy Sibley, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Mary Buley; and a grandson.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Martha) Reismeyer of Toulon; two granddaughters; a grandson; a brother, Michael Colgan of Dunlap; and two sisters, Madeline Morrissey of Wyoming and Mrs. Jesse (Barbara) Veach of Peoria.
She was a Girl Scout and 4-H leader in Princeville for many years.
She was a member of the Princeville American Legion Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors of America and St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Princeville, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
