I would like to thank Mark Major, skyelawr@webtv.net, Asst. Treasurer of the Historical Society of Schuylkill County, Pottsville, Pennsylvania for the time and effort he took in making an inventory of the Historical Society collection for me and for keeping a watchful eye out for Wynkoop researchers. Mark is the author of several books on local Pottsville history, including a terrific one on the notorious Molly Maguires of mining fame: A Guide to the Molly Maguires, by Howard T. Crown and Mark T. Major, 1996. A general guide to the Molly Maguires, including: The Molly Maguire Tour, Chronology, Participants, Mining & Related Industries, and closing issues. He is also the author of an article on "Schuylkill County in the Civil War" which features, among many things, Col. George Campbell Wynkoop's efforts in the war. Thanks for all your help and enthusiasm, Mark. I couldn't have done it without you. Chris
