Mound City and other Gunboats on the Mississippi April 18, 1862

    The story of the Mound City now includes a casualty list of those who died and/or were injured aboard the Mound City in 1862 when a Confederate cannon ball pierced her boiler on June 17, 1862 on the White River and scalded her crew to death.
