The grand jury completed its labor and was discharged on Friday evening. The following true bills were found, the trials of which have been postponed until the August court. [More...] Com. vs. Jos. Ebright. Perjury by taking a false oath before Jas. A. Green, a justice of the peace; 2d--Perjury by swearing falsely on the trial of W. H. Wynkoop for murder. [More...] Quite a number of bills were ignored.
On Thursday morning the case of Mrs. Zell, charged with the poisoning of Mrs. Kiehl, was again taken up. It was not until half past five o'clock that a jury was secured. The regular panel of forty-eight jurors was exhausted in accuring the tenth man, and the court directed to summon a number of talismen when the necessary twelve were obtained. The following are their names and residences. Joseph Taylor, Southampton; George Wertz, Hampden; Thos. C. Scouller, Mifflin; Eli Dunkleberger, Silver Spring; Samuel Kimmell, Bridgeport; Jacob A. Wetzel, Carlisle; Asbury Derland, Boiling Springs; John Zeigler, Lower Allen; George Bobb, Mechanicsburg; Lewis Goodhart, Penn; Samuel Sadler, Mt. Holly, and Benjamin Stout, Pine Grove.
