WYNKOOP-SCRYMSER.

    Mrs. Annie Scrymser and Cornelius D. Wynkoop were married last night at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Miller, 83 Fourth avenue. It was a strictly private affair, only the relatives and intimate friends of the family being present. Rev. T. De Witt Talmage officiated. There were no bridesmaids and the groom was unattended. Mr. and Mrs. Wynkoop left town immediately after the ceremony for Washington, where they will pass the first weeks of the honeymoon. Among those who witnessed the marriage ceremony were Mrs. J. A. Prichard, Mrs. E. E. Gardner, Mrs. Charlotte W. Miller, A. W. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Sinclair, Miss Carlotta Sinclair, Mrs. Henrietta Amermon, Miss Amermon, E. H. Mason, Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Wehn, Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Stern, Miss Annie Bowan, B. F. Watson, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Stratton, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Plummer, Mrs. A. Dumont, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Sanborn, Dr. and Mrs. Walter Woolsey of Elizabeth, N.J., Mr. and Mrs. M. Woolsey of Bound Brook, N.J., Mrs. and Mrs. C. W. Etting, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Wynkoop, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Duff, C. Duff and H. Wynkoop.

    Richard Wynkoop, in the 1904 edition of the Wynkoop Genealogy in the United States of America, has this to say about him on pages 203-204:

    1450. Cornelius De Witt Wynkoop, (Genl. Cornelius E. 896, Evert C. 517, Maj. Cornelius E. 295, Capt. Evert 112, Cornelius 28, Evert 4, Cornelius 1,) born April 6, 1830: died January 9, 1899, in the Seney Hospital, Brooklyn, N. Y., after a surgical operation: married, 1st, April 4, 1858, Harriet Pook, from England, who died October 21, 1889. He married, 2d, April 10, 1892, in Brooklyn, Mrs. Mary Annie (Miller) Scrymser, widow of Charles Arlington Scrymser.
    He was, at one time, on the police force of the city of New York: and he was afterwards a printer, and, at the time of his death, was a member of the printing firm of Wynkoop & McKay. He was a teacher in the Sabbath School of the Tabernacle, Brooklyn.
    Children of Cornelius D. and Harriet Wynkoop:
1703. Cornelius Evert: b. June 14, 1859: m. Emma Frances Walker, known as Frank. They live at Rhinebeck, N. Y.
1704. Mary Elizabeth: b. June 1, 1869: m., Apl. 15, 1891, in Brooklyn, John Duncan Duff, who d. in New Haven, Conn., in June, 1902.
