This land was on the north side of Proctor's Creek (formerly land of John Clark, deceased) and joined Thomas Branch and Matthew Branch, Henrico Co. VA.
In the name of God Amen the Tenth day of May in the year of Our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and sixty five.
I Thomas Bottom of the Parish of Raleigh in the county of Amelia being sick and weak of body but of a sound and perfect memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament. In the first place my will is that all my just debts be paid.
ITEM. I lend my daughter Jane Vaughn during her natural life one negro woman named Bett and all her increase. The said Negros are in her possession.
ITEM. I give my grand daughter Francis Worsham one negro girl named Judy with her increase which she is to possess (upon) the death of her mother the which I give to her and her heirs forever;
ITEM. I give and bequeath my son Thomas Bottom all the rest of my estate both real and personal to him and her heirs forever;
ITEM. I desire my estate may not be appraised - lastly I constititute and appoint my son Thomas Bottom whole and executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking and disannulling all former wills by me made either by word of mouth or in writing. Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the day and year fist above written.

At a court held for Amelia County the 24th Day of October 1765 this Will was proved by the oaths of George Brooks, Wm. Brooks and John Ford the Witnesses thereto sworn to by Thomas Bottom the Executor therein named and ordered to be recorded upon the the motions of the said ???? who entered into and acknowledged bond with John Ford his security as the law directs certificate was granted for him obtaining a probabe in due form.
