Liberty man dies in Casey car crash: Liberty -- A Liberty man died in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday night on KY. 70 1.6 miles west of Yosemite, state police said. Vadis Harvey Godbey, 71, was pronounced dead at Casey County Hospital by Casey County Coroner Tommy Clark. He apparently died from head and chest injuries. The accident occurred at 9:20 p.m. as Godbey was driving east and lost control of his vehicle in a curve. The car ran off the road and overturned into a ditch, according to a report by Trooper Brandon Curlis. Bartle Funeral Home, Liberty, will have charge of funeral arrangements. |
