Thomas Halsey of Eldersfield als Elsfield, yeoman

In the name of God Amen I Thomas Halsey of Eldersfield als Elsfield in the County of Worcester Yeoman being aged and somewhat indisposed but Blessed be God of good and sound memory and understanding do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following That is to say Impris I commend my spirit into the hands of God who gave it assuredly trusting in and through the alone merits and satisfaction of my Saviour and Redeemer Christ Jesus and my body I commit to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executors herein after named and as touching such Worldly Estate wherewith God of his Infinite goodness hath been pleased to bless me I give and dispose thereof as followeth Vizt Impris I give to all and every the Children of my Brother and Sisters two shillings and Six pence apeice Item I give to Jane the wife of my Kinsman John White of Broomsberrows Court the sume of ten pounds to be paid within thirteen Months next after my decease Item I give to Alice Rucke of Mangersbury in the county of Gloucr Spinster the Sume of Twenty pounds to be paid within the space of Thirteen Months next after my death Item I give devise and bequeath unto Jane Smith the daughter of Anne Smith the wife of Richard Smith of Forthampton in the said County of Gloucr yeoman the sume of three hundred pounds Sterling to be paid to the said Jane Smith when she arrives to the age of one and twenty years And I do hereby charge all my Estates both real and personall with the raising and payment thereof accordingly and likewise with the payment of Six pounds per Annum by my Executors unto or to her use and for her maintenance during her Minority and untill she accomplishes the age aforesaid But in case the said Jane Smith shall happen to dye before she attains her full age of One & twenty years then I do hereby revoke the said Legacy of three hundred pounds and do direct that the same shall not be raised or payd Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Smith the Brother of the said Jane Smith the sume of Seventy pounds Sterling to be paid him when he shall accomplish the age of one and twenty years and in case he shall sooner dye then the said Seventy pounds shall not be raised or paid Item I give devise & bequeath unto my kinsman Thomas Halsey my Messuage with the appurtenances and all and every the Lands arable Meadows Pastures and Hereditaments to the same belonging or appertaining Situate lying and being in the Parish of Eldersfield als Elsfield aforesaid and which I lately purchased to me and my heires of and from Thomas Webb of the same Parish To have and to hold unto him my said kinsman Thomas Halsey and his assignees for and during the Term of his natural Life dispunishable and without Impeachment of Wast and from and after his decease I give and devise all and every the same Messuage and premises unto Dorothy the now wife of him my said Kinsman for and during the term of her natural Life and from and after the death and decease of the Survivor of them the said Thomas Halsey and Dorothy his said wife Then I give and devise the said Messuage and Premises unto the heires of the Body of her the said Dorothy by him the said Thomas Halsey begotten or to be begotten and for lacke or in default of such Issue Then I give and devise the same Messuage and Premises with the appurtenances unto the heirs and assignees of him the said Thomas Halsey my said Kinsman for ever Item All the rest and residue of my Goods Chattells and Estate of what nature or kind so ever or in whatsoever consisting (after my debts and Legacys are paid and discharged and charged and chargeable as aforesaid) I give and bequeath unto him my said Kinsman and Kinswoman Thomas Halsey and Dorothy his wife and them the said Thomas and Dorothy I do hereby make and constitute to be the Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Will and Wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Halsey the Testator have hereunto Sett my hand and Seal the eight and Twentieth day of Aprill in the eighth year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord George by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith et Annoq Dom 1722 Tho Halsey Signed Sealed Published and declared by the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament the day of the date hereof in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto in the presence of and at the request of the Testator Mary Attwood - Sarah Lye - Nath. Lye
