In the name of God Amen, The Foureth
day of July in the yeare of or
Lord god 1624 I Thomas Franckombe of Trinley als Tyrley in the County
of Gloucr husbandman being weake
in body but of good & perfect remembrance (thankes be to god) do ordeine
& make my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge first
I bequeath my soule into the hands of almighty god my creator
and redeemer believing to be saved by the only mercy of god in the merits
of Jesus Chirst my savior, and
my body to be buried in the Church yard of Trinley aforesaid expecting
a ioyfull resurrection thereof unto life everlasting: And concrning
my worldly goods I first give and bequeath unto John my sonne 4li
of good and lawfull money of England and Itm to Christofer Franckombe
my sonne 4li of good and lawfull
money to be paid to ech of them when they shall attayne the age of xxj
yeares. Item to my daughter Elizabeth 4li
of good and lawfull money of England. Item to Elianor my daughter 4li
of like lawfull money of England, Item to Joane my daughter 4li
of like lawfull money when ech of them shall attayne their
severall ages of xxj yeares. Item my will is that if one or any of these
my children dy before they attaine their severall ages, then the part or
partes of them that dy to remayne to them that survive to be equally divided
between them. Item my will is that all other my goods cattell &
Chattailes my debts paid and funeral expenses discharged I give and bequeath
unto Joane Franckombe my loving wife whom I constitute & make
my sole executrix of this my last will and I do desire my loving brethren
in law Francis Rastell and William Hix to see the same fulfilled
and I do hereby revoke all former willes legacies bequests executors
& overseers. In witness whereof I have hereunto set myne hand the day
and yeare above written
