In the name of God Amen I Thomas Cooke of Eldersfield in the County of Worcester gent being att this present weake in body but of good and perfect sound mind and memory (Thanks be to Almighty God for the same) yet considering with my selfe the mortality of all flesh And that all mankind must yield to death whensoever it shall please God to call them to it And being desirous to settle and dispose of that small Estate that I have in this world (which God in mercy hath blest me withal farr above and beyond my defects) Doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following here by Revoaking nulling and makeing void to all intents and purposes whatsoever All former and other wills and bequests whatsoever by me heretofore made or ordained Confirming this and this onely to be my Last Will and testament and none other And First and Principally above All things I Comitt and Comend my soule in to the hands of Almighty God my Creator Trusting assuredly in the alone merits death and passion of Jesus Christ my Redeemer to be eternally saved and made partaker of that heavenly Kingdome which he hath purchased with his owne blood for all that believe and put their Trust in him And for my body I Comitt that to the Earth from whence it was First and originally taken there to be buryed with decent and Christian like burial att the discretion of my Executor hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto my Faithfull servant Francis Need the sume of Eleaven pounds and Three shillings which is Justly due and owing unto me by and from Mr William Wood of Donington in the County of Hereford Clerke And farther will mind and meaning is That in case the said debt of Eleaven pounds and Three shillings nor any part thereof cannot be receved by my said servant Francis Need That then and in such case my Executor hereafter named shall pay to the said Francis Need in Lieu thereof the sume of Ten pounds of lawfull money of England Item I give and bequeath unto my Kinswoman Elizabeth Loveridge the wife of Richard Loveridge of Haffield in the County of Hereford Glover the sume of Five pounds To be paid unto her in Five yeares by Twenty shillings every yeare for Five yeares next after my decease All the rest residue and Remainder of all and singular my goods Cattells Chattells and personall Estate whatsoever (After payment of my debts and Legacies herein bequeathed and my Funerall Expences discharged) I give and bequeath the same unto my Loving Kinsman Floris Cooke of Eldersfield in the County of Worcester Gt to be devided and disposed of to and amongst all his Children as to him shall seeme meete and Convenient And I doe hereby make the said Flors Cooke my sole and onely Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby Revoaking and making null and void All former and other wills gifts and bequeasts whatsoever by me heretofore made or published Confirming this alone to be my last Will and Testament In witnes whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seale This Tenth day of May in the one and Thirtieth yeare of his majesties Reigne that now is King Charles the Second Annoqe Dni 1679 / Tho: Cooke / Signed sealed Published and declared by the Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of Pat: Clareceato[?] Ric Yate 1679 Anne Hide |
