In the name of God Amen I Samuel Dovy of Apperly in the parish of Derehurst in the County of Gloucr being sick & weake but of good disposing memory thanks be to Almighty God do this Second Day of March in the yeare of or Lord 1699 make & ordayne this my last will & Testament in manner & former following First I bequeath my Soule into the hands of almighty God my maker and my body to the Earth from whence It was taken as for my worldly goods as followeth Item I give unto my Son Samuel Dovy in token of my Love twelfe pence to be paid within one yeare after my decease by my Executor hereafter mentioned Item I give unto Sarah Dovy twelfe pence to be paid within one yeare after my decease by my Executor It I give my house & garden and Backside to Ane my wife during the terme of her naturall life and afterwards I give and bequeath my house garden and backside in Derehurst aforesd unto Benjamin Dovy my Son & his heires for ever my funeral discharged & my debts paid all the Rest of my goods Cattle & Chattles I give and bequeath unto my wife & Five sons Jonathan William Thomas Joseph & Benjamin to be equally devided betwixt them and I do make Jonathan my Son Sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament In Witness I have set my hand & Seale the Day & yeare abovewritten (The mke of Samuel Dovy) In the prsence of the mke of Hannah Drinkewater the mke of John Bishop John Eagles
