In the name of god Amen / in the
eighteenth day of May in the yeare of our
Lord god according to the computacon of the
Church of England on thousand six hundred and eighteen I Richard Greening
of Walton in the prish of Derhurst in the county of Gloucester yeoman being
sick in body but of good and prfect memory thanks
be geven unto allmighty
god doe make and ordeyn this my last will and
Testament in manner and fourme Followinge: First I give and bequeath into the hand
of Almighty god my only maker and redeemer my soule
whom he hath redeemed with his most precious blood. And
my body to the earth wherof it was made and the
same to be buried in the Church or Churchyard of Derhurst
And as concerning my Temporall goods whereof
it hath pleased Almighty god to make me steward of during the time of this
my Pilgrimage here in this present world I do gyve
and bequeath it in manner and Forme as herein
following is expressed Firste I doe give and bequeath
unto Richard Greeninge my sonn All my moveable goods
remaininge and being at my or in
my house, at the Leigh and also on brass pott with a peec broken
out of the mouth of him and my will is thathis
that this pott shall remaine
with the heirs of Richard Greening my
sonne forever Item I give and bequeath
unto John Greeninge my son one joyned bedsteed with a tester two joyned
bedstee Cubbards
with presses on chest on table bord on Frame with
formes and benches and all my tacke as plowes harrows
waines cariages
and all the implements belonging unto it and on Malt mill and on Cesterne and the same to be delivered unto him after
the decease of my wife: Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas
Greeninge my sonn twenty pounds twenty pounds of
Lawfull money of England and the same
to be paid in manner and forme as followeth viz: the sum
of ten pounds of good and Lawfull money to
be paid within the space of two yeares next
after my decease and the other tenn pounds of
good and lawfull money to be paid within the space
of on moneth next after the decease of
Elizabeth my wife: Item I give and bequeath unto William Greeninge my sonne
twenty shillings of Lawfull money of England
and the same to be paid unto him within the space of six months next after
my decease Item I give and bequeath unto John the sonne of William
Greening my son forty shillings of good and Lawfull
money of England and the same to be paid unto him within the space of on
whole yeare next after my decease / Item I give
and bequeath unto Joane my
daughter the wife of William Milton
the sum of twenty shillings of lawfull money
of England and twenty shillings more I give and bequeath to be divided in
fower equalle
parts amongst his fower children and the same to be paid to her and them within
the space of on whole yeare next after my decease
/ Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth the
wiffe of Thomas Greenway
twenty shillings of lawfull money of England and
six tenn shillings to be divided
betweene his two children
and the same to be paid within the space of on whole year
next after my decease: Item I give and bequeath unto Susanna
my daughter the wiffe of Edward
Floucke twenty shillings of lawfull money of England the same to be paid within
the space of Two years next after my decease / Item I give and bequeath
unto William the sonn of Richard Greening my sonn one bauld
bay mare colt / Item I give and bequeath unto Richard the sonn of Richard
Greening my sonn five
shillings of good and lawfull money of England
and the same to be paid within the space of on whole yeare next after my decease / Item I give and bequeath
unto John Greening my brother on bushell
of wheat and on bushell of barley and my best
suit of apprell / Item I give and bequeath
unto the poore of the prishe
of Derehurst six shillings eight pence
of lawfull money of England / Item I
doe nominate and apointe Richarde Flouck of Garnall Well and Richard
Greening my sonn to
be overseers to se the execution of this my last will and testament and
for their paines taken herein I do give and
bequeath unto each of them the sum of five shillings a peece of lawfull money
of England Item all the rest of my goods and Chattells moveables and unmoveables
not given and bequeathed I give unto my debts being paid and my
funerall expenses discharged I give and
bequeath unto Elizabeth my wiffe whome I make whole and sole executrix of this my
last will and testament In wittness whereof I
have sette my hand and seale

above written.
