In the name of God Amen this third day of February in the third yeare of the Raigne of our Sovaugne Lord James by the Grace of God King of England Scotland France and Ireland Defender of the faith &c I Martha Cook of the parish of the Leigh being sick and weake but in wright memory blessed be god and calling to mind the cartaintie of death and the uncartaintie of this mortall life doe make ordaine & declare this my last Will and testament in manar and forme following that is to say first I commit my sole in to the hands of almightie god assuredly hoping throu ye only merritts of my blessed savior Jesus Christ I shall receive a joyfyull resurection to evarlasting life and glory my body to ye earth to be decently buried in ye parish Churchyard of Eldersfield by my father and mother And as for thos temperall goods & moneys wch god in his Marcie hath lent me I doe give and bequeath in manar and forme following as in this my will is expressed Item to ye poor of the parish of Eldersfield I give and bequeath fortie shillings Item to the poor of ye parish of the Leigh wher I have latly lived I give and bequeath twentie shillings Item to my nephew Christopher Cook I give and bequeath twentie pound to be payd out of the moneys wch my Brother his father owes me Item to my nephews William Cook Florish Cook & Thomas Neast I give and bequeath twentie shillings apeece to be payd out of ye moneys wch my brother Cook owes me Item to my three neeses Ann Cook Bettie Cook & Hannah Favelle I give and bequeath tenn pound apeece Item to my neese Hannah Flock that was when she was my Cosen John Flocks wife I give and bequeath fortie shillings & her to rings Item to my Sister Cook I give & bequeath my Cloth gound and petticoate and my redd petticoate Item to my sister Flock I give and bequeath my silk ringcullar petticoate my muffe and furs & two whoods Item to Hannah Favelle I give and bequeath my best crape mantue & petticoate wit Item to my neice Ann Cook I give & bequeath my second best crape mantue & petticoate Item to my neice Bettie Cook I give & bequeath my black surge petticoat and my striped petticoate Item to my cosin Mrs Jane Wells I give & bequeat my inamild ring wth 3 stones in it Item to my Brother Mr John Flock Sarjent of his Majties wine cellar I give and bequeath all the few books that I have Item to Hannah Blanton I give and bequeath twentie shillings & an aparne Item to Ann Flock I give and bequeath ye mantue John Longford mad for me and to her and to Mary Ladd I give and bequeath all my ordnary clothes boath of linein & woollen & thuse & stockens & Bibs and to Mary Ladd a deale box wth a locke & key to put her clothes in And I make and ordaine my Brotherinlaw Mr John Flock Sarjent of his Mats wine cellar and my Cosin Mr William Frankcom of the Hawe to be my overseares of this my last Will and testament to see the same duly executed and for theyr care and paines therin I give them fortie & three shillings by equally shares and I do ordaine and alowe ten pounds for my funerall charges to be wholly layd out therin Item to my Brother Mr Florice Cook who I make my sole executor all my debts legaties and funerall charges being first payd I give and bequeath all the rest of my goods and moneys And this I owne to be my last Will and testament Signed and sealed with my owne hand Martha Cook Sealed signed and declared to be the last
