the name of God Amen the Five and Twentieth day of October 1639 I Lawrence
Cox of Weightfield in the parish of Dearhurste in the Countie of Gloucr
yeoman sick in bodie butt of good and prfecte memorie laud & prayse
be geiven unto allmightie god, doe make & ordayne this my laste will
and testament in manner and forme following that is to saie Fyrste I Comend
my soule into the hands of god my maker hoopinge assuredlie through the
meritts of Jesus Christ my Savior
to be made partaker of life everlastinge And I Comend my Bodie to the yearth
where of it was made Item I geive
and bequeath unto Thomas Cox my sonn a hundred pounds
in money to be paid him when he shall accomplishe the full adge of one
and Twentie yeares, but my will is that my wife shall hould the money untill
my sonn shall com to his adge yf she cannot layd it forth of livinge for
him, And my will is further that my wife shall keepe my sonn Thomas untill he shall
accopmplish the adge of one and Twenty yeares Butt yf
my said Sonn Thomas
shall happen to die or decesse before his money be due then it shall remayne
unto my executrix Item I geive &
bequeath unto my brother John

paid my funerall expences discharged I geive & bequeath unto Alice
my wife
whome I doe make my whole executrix of this my last will and
testament, And I doe appoynt my wellbeloved frends in Christe William
Cox and William
Milton to by my ovrseers
to see this my last will & testament executed & performed Inwtnes
hereof I the said Lawrence Cox have to this my last will
& testament putt my hand and seale the daye and yeare Fyrste above
written
