John Grininge of Apprley, Dearehurst, yeoman

 

In the Name of god Amen I John Grininge of Apprley in ye parish of Dearehurst and County of Gloucr yeoman being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thanks bee to god doe whilst memory Last mack and ordeyne this my Last will and testament in manner & forme followinge first I bequeave my soule to ye hands of Allmighty God my Macker and my body to ye earth wheare of it was made beleveinge the Resurrection there of and the Reunion of both and for my worly welth and  outward apparel I dispose of as followeth Inprimis I give and bequeave unto my wife Mary Grininge all my free Land and Lease Land during the terme of her Life and after her desease I give unto my son William Grininge two Ackers of free Land one of the shouteth upon Notley and ye other shouteth up a Length called Ridory to him and his heirs  for Ever Itm I give unto my son John Grininge one Acker and a half of free Land Lyinge in the Wire and two ackers of medow beinge Lease Land in a meade called Witcom and my will is that my son John shall pay for ye said Land ye som of five pounds to my daughter Hannah Grininge when shee shall com to ye Age of one and twenty yeares and my will is that my son William shall pay five pounds unto his sister Anne Grininge in Lue of his two Ackers of Land when shee shall com to ye age of one and twenty years; Itm I give unto my two daughters Mary & Elizabeth six pounds a peece being money given them unto my mother deseased to bee paid by my Executriks as by her will it is apoynted Itm I give unto my Dughter Margaret Eldridge twelve pens All the rest of my goods chattels and cattells my Depts beinge paid and funerall Expences discharged I doe mack Executrix of this my Last will and testament here by Revockinge all former wills by mee made Lastly I doe apoynt my beloved frends Edmund Beale and Giles Hawcker overseers of this my Last will In wittnes wheare of I have heare unto put my hand and seale the Eight and twenty day of June anoqe domi one thousand six hundred and seventy
