In the name of god, Amen, I John Blissard of Laverton in the prish of Buckland and County of Gloucr Junior, sick in body but sound in mynde & memory blessed be god, doe make & ordayne this my last will & Testament in mannr & forme following. fyrst I bequeath my soule to my Redeemr Christ Jesus, & my body to the earth &c. Touching my substancs in the world, I dispose them thus, fyrst to the Churches seates florring, I bequeath xxd, & to Brants laynes mendyng, xxd. Item to ech cottager in the parish of Buckland (John Bushell excepted) I bequeath one hoope of wheat. Item I do gyve & bequeath uno Christian Wheeler twenty pounde in mony. Item I gyve unto the other six children of Thoms Wheeler (videlicet, Thoms, Elizabeth, Ann, Richard, John & Mary) ten pounds apiece. & my will is, that the one half of these ther portions shalbe payed unto them on the feast of St John the Baptist after my death, & thother half therof, that day twelve monethes after, in the Church porch of Buckland afforesayd. Item I bequeath unto my daughter Anne Wheler, the some of twenty nobles, of good & lawfull mony of England. Item I do gyve & bequeath unto my sonne Thomas Fowke alias Wheeler, one cow, to be delivred unto him by wife. Item to my now foure srvantes, Richard Whittle, Robt Honibourne, John Tidcott, & Margaret Harbertt, I bequeath & gyve foure eves, even to ech of them one. After wch legacyes payed, I bequeath to my sonne Wm Blissard of Hardwick half my goods remaining towards the tayking of my lyving for himself & John Blissard his sonne. The rest of my goods & cattles (moveable & unmoveable) I bequeath unto Alic Blissard my wife, whom I make sole executrix of this my last will, this fift day of Sextember, 1620.
