In the name of God Amen the Twenty Nynth day of July Anno Dni 1639 Annoqe Regis Caroli decimo quinto I Joane Pixley of Wightfield in the parrish of Deerehurst and County of Gloucr widow being weake in body but of good memory thankes bee unto God therefore considering the uncertenty of Life ant certeinty of death doe make and ordeyne this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following first I commend my soule into the hands of almightie God my maker hopeing assuredly to be saved by the alone merritts of Jesus Christ my Redeemer And my body I commend to the Earth whence it was taken believing the resurrecion thereof att the last day according to that Article of my faith As for my worldly Goods I thus dispose of them, Being mindfull of the Church I give Thirty Shillings to doe some such thing as our Minister myne Executor shall think fitt Item I give unto the poore of the parrish of Deerehurst Tenne pounds to bee imployed for the use and benefit of the said poore and the said benefit thereof to bee yearely devided to the said poore by the discrecon of the Minister and Church Wardens upon Good Friday after morninge prayer att the Church Item I give to my brother Edward Flucke and to his seaven Children now living Tenn pounds a peece And my will is that the money soe given by me to his said Children shall bee and remaine in the hands of my brother John Flucke and by him to be imployed for the benefit of the said Children until they shall accomplish the Age of one and twenty yeares And if it shall happen any of the said Children to dye before the said Age then the porcon or porcns of the deced to remayne to the surviving to bee equally devided amongest them. Item I give to my kinsman John Flucke the sonne of my brother John Flucke Tenne pounds Item I give unto my kinswoman Joane Flucke daughter to my said brother John Flucke Tenne pounds in money And I doe hereby assign over unto her the Remainder of the Estate (after my life) of that one Lease lately taken by me of Sr Thomas Coventry Lord Keeper of the greate Seale of England Item I give unto Dorothy and Jane Flucke daughters of my said brother John Flucke Tenne poundes a peece Item I give to Mr Huntington our Minister Twenty shillings And I give unto the parish Clarke being Flucke Twenty shillings Item I give unto Richard Walter my servant my Bible and five pounds in money with the Beding and Bedsteed whereon he lodgeth Item I give unto Richard Flucke my kinsman that liveth with me Three pounds in money to be imployed as his former Legacy by me given Item I give unto my Maid Servant Sibill Walters Twenty shillings Item I give to all my Godchildren Two shillings six pence a peece Item I give to George Smith Twenty shillings Item I give to Alice Hide my Wastcoate, Peticoate and Hatt which I weare or Sundaies Item I give to Widdow Barnard John Wheelers wife and Dorothy Cocke two yards of new woollen Cloth a peece All the rest of my goods Cattells and Chattells in this my last will not given and bequeathed my funeral Expences discharged I give and bequeath to John Flucke my Brother whome I make constitute and ordeyne sole Executor of this my last will and testament In witnes whereof I have to this my mast will and Testament put my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written Joane Pixley her marke In the presence of Richard Waltar his marke Sibill Waltar her marke Robt Huntington
