In the name of God Amen: on the ther
nynthe day of Maye in the
yeare of our lord god accordinge
to the computation of the Church of England on thousand six hundred Twenty
and five I Elizabeth Greeninge of Walton in
the prish of Derehurst in
the county of Gloucester wydowe being weake in body but of prfect
memory prayse be given to Almighty God doe make and
ordayne this my last will and Testament in manner
and Forme as hereafter following: First I give and
bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty god my
maker savior and redeemer and my body to be buried in the Church or
Churchyard of the Leighe, nothinge
doubtinge but that at the great daye
of the generall resurrection I shall receive it
again, not a mortall and vile bodie
as now it is, but an incorruptible Immortall and a
glorious bodie even like unto the glorious bodie of my lord and savior Jesus Christ hopeing by a lively faith with him to raigne
and live eternally in glory: And as concerning these worldly and Transitory
goods whereof dureing the terme
of liffe I ame by gods appoyntment made Steward off I give and bequeath unto my
children and kindred & other of my good Frends
to maintaine love and peace amongst them in manner
and forme as heareafter followeth / Inprimis I give and
bequeath unto Susana Flouck my daughter two
pair of sheets whereof on is a bearing sheet and on of the other sheets have
whit tassels on tabell cloath
& on pair of Blankets & on brass pot being the least but on. Item I
will give & bequeath more unto my daughter Susanna Flouck
my best pettycote on smock two pinners[?] on double
kerchief & the best partlet[?] & two flaxen
napkins and on coffer Item I will give & bequeath unto Joane Milton my daughter on brass caldron
being the best of three & on skillet on paire
of blankets on pair of sheets on hempen on table cloath
on flockbed and on feather boulster,
the less; and on red coverlid & my best gowne
& my second best petty coate & wasecote and my best gowne
and half a dousen of napkins & on flaxen pillowsheet and my best hatt
Item I will give and bequeath unto William Greeninge
my sonn fower poundes of lawfull money of
England and my best pott best pott Item I will, give and bequeath unto Thomas Greeninge my sonn my best Fether bed saveing on & on fether boulster being the third
worst on paire of sheets & on paire of blankets & my best Coverlid Item give and
bequeath unto Richard Greeninge my sonn on brass Chaffeing dish
and on brass Candlesticke Item I will give and
bequeath unto William Greeninge the sonn of Richard Greeninge
the profits of the deade years that shalbe growing uppon the
Tenement at the Leighe wherein I have my widdowhood by virtue of a Coppie
accordinge unto the custom of the manner of the
Leigh Courte and my will is that the said William
in consideracion of his guifte
shall pay the heriot to the lord of the manner afforesaid when it shall happen to be due by virtue of my
decease / Item I give & bequeath more unto the said William Greeninge my kinsman the son of Richard Greeninge two pewter dishes / Item I will give and
bequeath unto Richard Greeninge the sonn of Richard Greeninge
my sonn on dishe of
Pewter Item I give unto Joane the daughter
of Richard Greeninge my sonn
on Pewer bason two
saucers and on flaxen sheet with a hooke seame in the middest Item I
will give and bequeath unto Richard the sonn
of John Greening my sonn my best brewing
Caldron & the warmeing pan and on broach Item I
will give and bequeath unto Thomas the sonn
of John Greeninge my sonne
on Towell & my second biggest pot on broach
& on pair of Cobberns Item I will give and
bequeath unto John Greeninge the sonn of John my sonn on
hog sheep and lamb. / Item I will give and beqeath
unto Richard Greening the sonn of Thomas
Greening my sonn the biggest pott brasen pott and on pewter dishe Item I
give and beqeath unto Joane
the daughter of Thomas Greeninge my sonn on pewter dishe Item I

shillings of lawfull money of England and on petticote Item I give and bequeath unto the poore of the prishe of Derehurst the sume of five
shillings and also I give unto the poore of the prishe of the Leighe the sume of five shillings & the sume
to be distributed at the discretion of my executor & my overseers Item I
will give and bequeath unto Richard Flouck
the sonn of Edward Floucke
my sonn in law the second biggest brewing
Caldron and on broach Item I will give and beqeath
unto John Greening my Brother in law ten shillings of lawfull money of England Item my will is that all these guifts legasies and bequests
here in this my last will and Testament by me willed given & bequeathed
should be delivered paid & discharged within the space of on moneth next after my decease Item all the rest of my
goods Chattells and Chat Cattells not willed
given & bequeathed I give will & bequeath unto John Greening my
sonn whom I make whole and sole executor of this my
last will & Testament And I do utterly revoke and adnull
all former wills and Testaments and I do nominate and apoint
Richard Greeninge my sonn
& Gyles Hawker my kinsman & Thomas
Greening my sonn to be suprvisors
of this my last will and Testament & for their paines
takinge herein I give unto each of them the sum of
two shillings & six pence a peece of lawfull money of England In witness whereof I have sette my hand and seale the daye and yeare above written.
