Elizabeth Baskerville of Fownhope, Herefordshire, widow

 

This is the last Will and testament of me Elizabeth Baskerville of the Parish of Fownhope in the County of Hereford Widow First I will and direct that all my just debts shall be fully paid satisfied Then I give devise and bequeath unto my Nephew John Matthews All that my Copyhold Messuage Tenement or Dwellinghouse with the Garden and orchard Outlets hereditaments and premises with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging situated in the parish of Fownhope aforesaid To hold the same unto my said Nephew the said John Matthews his heirs --- and Assigns for ever according to the tenure thereof Subject nevertheless to his paying thereout the costs and charges of my funeral and Burial and the Sum of Ten Pounds to my Niece Ann Apperley who is to take a vested Interest at my decease and to be paid within one Year after my decease But in case my said Niece the said Ann Apperley should not be living at my decease then I direct the said Ten Pounds be paid to the first and Eldest Child of the said Ann Apperley who shall attain the age of twenty one years upon his or her attaining such age I give and bequeath all my Household Goods an Furniture and my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever situated unto and equally between my Nephews the said John Matthews and Thomas Matthews share and share alike And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Nephew John Matthews Sole Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said Testatrix Elizabeth Baskerville have hereunto set my hand and seal this Sixtee day of April one thousand eight hundred and thirty – The mark of Elizabeth Baskerville – Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testatrix Elizabeth Baskerville as and for her last Will and Testament (the same having been first read over and fully explained to her) in the presence of us who have in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other subscribed our names as Witnesses hereto – John Morgan – James Connoss – Henry Jones.

 

Proved at Hereford 20th January 1831 before the Reverend and Worshipful Charles Taylor DD Vicar General &c by the Oath of John Matthews the sole Executor within named / To whom &c
