In The name of God amen, the fowerteene daye of June 1624 / I Alis Cooke of Wharlton in the prish of Dearehurste in the Countie of Gloucr spinster sicke in bodie butt of good & prfecte memorie laude & prayse be geven unto allmightie god doe make & ordayne this my last wyll & testament in manner & forme followinge that is to saye, Fyrste I Comend my soule into the hands of god my maker hoopinge assuredly throughe the merits of Jesus Christe my Savioure to be made prtaker of life ever lastinge And I Comend my body to the yearthe whereof yt was made / Item I geve & bequeathe unto John Cooke my brother eighte pounde in money to be payd wthin one yeare after my decesse Item I geve & bequeathe unto John Greeninge my brother in law Margarett his wiefe & too Richard Greeninge, Thomas Greeninge & John Greeninge theire sonnes & evry one of them bothe for the father & mother & the Three Sonns xxs a peece to be payd to eache of them wthin one yeare after my decesse / Item I geive & bequethe to the poore of the prishe of Dearehurste xs ------ to be payd prsently after my decesse / Item I geive & bequethe towards the reparcon of the prishe church of Dearehurste xs to be likewise payd as aforesaid Item I geiv & bequeath unto Edward Potter minister of this same prishe vjs viijd in money for him to preache att my funerall Item I geive & bequethe unto my Cusson Roberte Cook Fyve shillings in money to be payd him wthin one yeare after my decesse: / Item I geive & bequeath unto Johan Houlder the wife of John Houlder xjs of lawfull money to be payd wthin one yeare after my decesse: Item I geive & bequeath unto Rychard Boosley my mothers servante Twelve pennce to be paid as aforesaid wthin one yeare after my decesse / Item all the Reste of the goods Cattles moveable & unmoveable my detts & legacies payd my funerall exspences dischargyed I geive & bequeath unto Joan Cook my mother whome I doe make my whole executrix of this my laste will & testament In witness hereof we the prties under written have sette theire hands & further I do Appointe my welbeloved Frends in Christe Robert Cooke of Apperly & John Flowke of Dearehurste Waulton to be my ovrseers to se this my last will & testamente & for their paynes taken I geive & bequeathe to each of them iijs iiijd to be payd wthin one yeare after my decesse
