In the name of god Amen the xvjth daie of February in Ano dni 1609 I Ales Morton of Apprly wthin the countie of Glouc widow being sicke in bodie bot of good and prfecte remembrance thanks be to almightie god for the same doe make & ordeyne my last will and testament in mannr and forme Followinge first & principally I comytt my soule to almightie god my Creator hopinge by the death & passion of Jesus Christ his deare sonne & my redeemer to be saved and my bodie to be buried in Christian burial. And as concerninge the disposicon of my temporall goods First I geve & bequeath to Ales Morton the daughter of Edmond Morton my sonne in lawe my best peticott my best towel twoe paire of sheetes & my best brasse panne Itm I geve & bequeath to Elizabeth Morton my said sonnes second daughter my second best towel & the second best candlestick Itm I geve & bequeath to John Morton my best Candlestick & my best panne Itm I geve & bequeath to Thomas Morton my best pott Itm I geve & bequeath to Elizabeth Younge my Sister my second best peticott Itm I geve & bequeath to Edmond Morton my said sonne all the rest of my goods & Cattells moveable & unmoveable unbequeathed my funerall expencs first discharged And I doe make my said sonne in lawe Edmond Morton my whole executor of this my last will & testamt to see this my last will & testamt prformed accordinglie And I doe appoint my welbeloved John Morton & Richard Fluck to be overseers of this my last will and testamt In witnesse hereunto Richard Fluck & Thomas Finch wth others
