Richard Flux of Hollorood Ampney, yeoman

 

In the name of God Amen the third day of January Anno Domini 1692 I Richard Flux of Hollorood Ampney in the County of Gloucr Yeom being of perfect minde and memory thanks be given unto Almighty God therefore knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye doe therefore make and ordaine this my Last Will and testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) first and principally I give my Soule into the hands of God who gave it me and my Boddy I comend to the Earth to be buried in Christian and Decent manner noething doubting but at the Generall Resurrection I shall receive the same againe by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to blesse me in this Life I give devise and bequeath the same in manner and forme following

 

Imprs I give and bequeath unto my Sonne John Flux one shilling to be paid him by my Executrix herein after named

 

Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonne Richard Flux one shilling to be paid him by my Executrix herein after named

 

Item I give and bequeath unto my wellbeloved wife Mary Flux All that my dwelling house situate and being in Hollorood Ampney aforesaid togeather with all Houses outhouses Courts gardens and appertinances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the same unto my wife Mary for and during the terme of her Naturall Life.

 

Item I give and bequeath unto my said wife Mary Flux all that Meadow called by the name of Haines Hay situate and being in Hollorood Ampney aforesaid and alsoe two Acres of Arrable Land situate and being in the Upper Fields of Hollorood Ampney aforesaid and alsoe all manner of Common or Commons of pasture feeding for one Rother Beast and ten sheepe together with all priviledges and advantages whatsoever thereunto belonging or in wise appertaineing To have and to hould the said Meadow called Haynes Hay the Two Acres of Arrable Land and the Commons of Feeding for one Rother Beast and ten sheepe unto my wife Mary Flux for and during the terme of her naturall Life

 

Item my will is that after the decease of my wife Mary then I give the aforesaid messuage or Tenement and the Meadow called Haynes Hay the two acres of Arrable Land and the Beast and sheepe Commons to my sonne Richard and his Heires provided Nevertheless and upon the condition that my said sonne Richard shall pay unto my sonne John or his Heires five pounds of lawfull money of England within the space of three yeares next after the decease of me and my wife Mary

 

And of this my last Will and I make and ordaine my wife Mary my Full and sole Executrix hereby revokeing all other former wills by me in any wise made ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Richard Flux have hereunto set my hand and seale the day and yeare above written

 

 

Signed Sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Richard Flux to be his Last Will and Testament in the presence of
