In the name of God Amen the xxvijth day of January 1619 Anno Regni Jacobi Anglia &c decimo septimo et Scotia liij I Edmond Flowke of Playstonne in the pishe of Deerhurst in the County of Gloucr yeoman being sick of body but of pfect mynde & memory (thankes be to god) doe make & ordaine this my last will & testament in mannr & forme follwing First I give & bequeath my soule into he hands of almighty god my makr hoping through and assuredly beleeving through the merritts & passion of my lord & savior Jesus Christe to be saved my body I committ to the earth whereof it was made and framed & to be buryed in such decent sort as to the executrix & overseers of this my last will & testament shall deme expedient And first as touching my worldly goods I give & bequeath to Elizabeth Flowke my daughter the sume of forty pounds of lawful Englishe money to be paied wthin two yeares after my decease the same to be sett forth for the use & best profytt of the said Elizabeth by the oversight & discrecion of my Executrix & overseers of this my will or the most pte of them untill shee shall accomplish the age xxjtie yeares or be marryed Item I give & bequeath to Anne Flowke my daughter fifty pounds of lawful Englishe money to be paied wthin fower yeares after my decease same to be sett forth for the use & best profytt of the said Anne by the oversight & discretion of my Executrix & overseers of this my will or the most pte of them untill shee shall accomplish the age xxjtie yeares or be marryed Item I give & bequeath to Mary my daughter fifty pounds of like lawful Englishe money to be paied wthin sixe yeares after my decease same likewise to be sett forth for the use & best profytt of the said Mary by the Executrix & overseers of this my will or the most pte of them untill shee shall likewise accomplish the age xxjtie yeares or be marryed Item I give & bequeath to Edmund Beale my nephewe ten pounds of lawful Englishe money to be paied unto him two yeares after my decease Item I give & bequeath to Phillip Beale my nephewe five pounds of lawful Englishe money to be paied unto him three yeares after my decease Item I give & bequeath to Richard Beale my nephewe five pounds of lawful Englishe money if he shall discharge my Executrix of this will of one bond obligatory whereon I stand bound to Margery Taylor of Stokeorchard widowe as surety for the said Richard to be paied to him fower yeares after my decease And as touchinge my lands first my intent & meaninge is that Jane my wife shall have and enioy the use profytt & commodity that may rise or growe of the Messuage & tenemt wherein I nowe dwell & all houses curtilages lands meadowes & pastures & commone of pasture to the same belonging or reputed or knowen to be pte pr pcell thereof soe long as Phillip Waters my father in lawe shall live to pay an Anuity of xvjl p And to him and after his decease my intent & meaninge is that Anne my daughter shall have & enioy the pfitt & commoditie that may rise of two ptes of the said Messuage or tenemt & other the prmisses for and during the terme of sixe yeares & halfe if Jane my wife to whome the third pte shall belong in respect of her dower shalbe then living or soe long live, if she happen todecease before the said tyme then the said Anne to have the whole untill she shall have receaved of the profytts thereof the sume of one hundred pounds of lawfull Englishe money wch I give unto her forth of the said Messuage or untill Elizabeth Flowke my daughter shall pay unto her one hundred pounds of lawfull &c or make up the said sume ofa hundred pounds wth the profitts & that the said Anne hath rceeved forth of the said Messuage & other the prmisses then I give & bequeath to the said Elizabeth Flowke my daughter all the said Messuage or tenemt lands meadowes & pastures & commone of pasture & all & singler the prmisses to have & to hold the said Elizabeth & to the heires of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten & for want of such issue to Anne Flowke my second daughter & to the heires of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten & for want of such issue to Mary my third daughter & to the heires of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten & for want of such issue to the right heires of me the said Edmond Flowke forever I give & bequeath to the said Anne Flowke my daughter the tenent called Bynlay wth all the apprtances now in the tenure of Childe: To have & to hold to the said Anne the said tenent wth all the apprtances & to the heires of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten & for want of such issue to Elizabeth Flowke aforesaid & to the heires of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten & for want of such issue to Mary Flowke aforesaid & to the heires of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten & for want of such issue to the right heires of me the said Edmond Flowke forever Item my will & meaning is that Jane my wife shall have & receave preave & take the pfitts and commodities of all my lands Messuages & tents situate or being wthin sevrall prshes of Corse in the County of Gloucr & Staunton in the County of Wigorn or either of them so long as my foresaid daughter or any of them shall remayne & be in the custody & charge of the said Jane for theire better maintenance & bringinge[?] & no longer & then I give & bequeath the same lands & Tenents wth all & singler theire apprtances to the said Mary Flowke To have & to hold the said Messuages lands tents wth all & singler theire apprtances to the said Mary & to the heires of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten & for want of such issue to Anne Flowke aforesaid & to the heires of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten & for want of such issue to the aforesaid Elizabeth Flowke & to the heires of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten & for want of such issue to the right heires of me the said Edmond Flowke forever I give & bequeath to evry godchilde I give xijd apeece & to the poore of the pishe xxs of lawfull Englishe money all the residue of my goods & chattles not before given or bequeathed my debts & funerall expenses discharged I give & bequeath to Jane my wife whome I do ordaine &make sole Executrix of this my will & testament And I appoint overseers of this my will John Shedwell Thomas Alston Phillip Waters Richard Harle & Edmond Beale praying them to see this my will prformed In witness whereof I have sett my hand & seale the day & yeare first above wrytten Witnesses Thomas Alston Phillip Waters Richard Harle Edmond Beale Gyles Hawker Richard Shedwell Phillipp Beale & others Item my will is that Elizabeth my daughter shall have the greate brasse pott for a standard to remayne in the howse & a greate brasse pann after the decease of my wife And Anne my second best brasse pott the second brasse pann after my wives decease And to Mary the third brasse pott & third brasse pann after the decease of my wife
