In the name of God Amen I Aron Flook of the Hamlet of Oldland in the Parish of Bitton in the County of Gloucester Coalminer being sick and weak in body but of a sound mind memory and understanding thanks be given to Almighty God for it, but considering the frailty of this mortal life the certainty of death and the uncertainty thereof and being willing and desirous to setle things in order to make and declear this my last Will and testament in manner and form following that is to say First I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping to be saved by the alone merrits of my only Saviour and Redemer Jesus Christ, my Body I commend to the Earth to be decently intered at the discretion of my executors hereinafter named Item I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Hannah Flook All my leasehold Estates and all other Estates Goods Chatles Moneys Securities for monies and all and singular the Premisses with the appurtenances whatsoever I shall die or be possessed of at the time of my death To hold unto my said Wife for and during her Widowhood freely to be enjoyed by her she making no Weast or destruction of the same And immediately after the determination of that Estate I give devise and bequeath all the said hereinbefore bequeathed effects unto my Children hereinafter mentioned (that is to say) Joseph Flook, Aron Flook, Daniel Flook, Stephen Flook, Benjamin Flook Moses Flook Abraham Flook my said Sons and unto Susannah Jones and Hannah Flook my said Daughters share and equal share alike And if any or either of my Sons or Daughters shall die and leave no Child or Children at the time of his her or their deaths that then his or her or their shares so dying shall go and fall amongst all my said Children that shall be then living their Executors Administrators and assigns for and during my term and Interest therein And if it shall happen that there shall be any Sum or Sums of Money due to my said Estate or estates from ant or either of my Sons or Daughters at the time of my death or at the time the same is above said to be given and bequeathed unto them that such Sum or Sums of Money due and owing from all or either of them shall be deemed to be part of my said above bequeathed Effects and shall be valued therewith and such Sum or Sums of Money so due to my said Estates form any or either of my Sons or Daughters or Son-in-laws out of his their or them parts and shares so indebted so that the remaining Sum and Sums do and shall make up an equal share with those that was not indebted to my said Estates shall be deemed their parts and share in the same And that my said Will shall be truly performed I do make and ordain my said Wife Hannah Flook and my two Sons Aron Flook and Daniel Flook Sum or Sums of Money joint Executors in trust of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all Will and Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declear this to be my last Will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this seventh day of April One thousand eight hundred and four – Aaron Flook – Signed Sealed and delivered by the said Aron Flook as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who were present at the signing and sealing thereof as witness our ands Thomas Waters – Francis Waters – The Mark of X Hannah Chees
