James C. Norman, son of Robert and Patsey
(Coffee) Norman, b April 18, 1818, in Bedford Co, TN, and is a citizen of Benton Co, AR.
Robert Norman was a native of NC. When a young man he moved to TN. He was a soldier in
the War of 1812, under Gen. Jackson, was at the battle of New Orleans, and received a
land warrant of eighty acres for services. Robert Norman, after his marriage, lived on a
farm until his children were grown, when he moved to Middle Tennessee, and afterward to
Western TN where he died. James C. Norman remained with his father until twenty-one
years of age and assisted him on the farm. He then married Miss Polly Grammar, a native of
Bedford Co, TN, and to them were born four children, three now living: Milford, William
and Mrs. Martha Warsham. Mr. Norman immigrated to MO in 1854, and resided in
Greene Co until 1877, when he moved to Benton Co, AR, and settled on his present farm,
which consists of 220 acres, 100 under cultivation. He was on home duty at Springfield
during the late war, and is a Democrat in his political views.

Bridgewater for 5 years, formerly of Halifax for 50 years. She was active in the
Seniors Citizen quilting and doing crafts. Member of the Eastern Star, past President
of the Senior Stepers in Hanson and the American Legion Womens Auxillary. She is
survived by her children, Norman W. Worsham of Bridgewater, Leslie Worsham of
Plymouth, Claudia A. Needham of No. Conway and Cheryl W. Keller of Avon, CT. Also
survived by 6 grandchildren. Visiting hours Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. in the Prophett
Funeral Home, 98 Bedford Street, (Rte. 18) Bridgewater. Funeral service private. In

instead of Ragon. Sarah Vesta Myra Hutsell
d/o Samuel Rankin Hutsell & Vesta Jane Crewes. Her obituary was in the
Mountain Grove Journal 26 Jan 1978:
Sarah V. Worsham, 102, died January 15.
Survivors are a son, Paul; 5 daughters, Vina Garrett, Opal Saxton, Ada Keyes,
Ruby Long and Wilsie Willoughby; a sister, Etta Shaw. Burial in Friendship
